Exceptional food, exceptional service. Funny eating Italian in Mexico but we found the restaurant a very pleasant surprise.

We visiting this restaurant after seeing it was number 2 on Trip Advisor. We made the mistake of going on a Monday when it was closed, but then returned on Tuesday. It was a 30 minute walk from the Zocalo. Instead of a bread basket we received little cheese and tomato brochettes which were amazing - actually the best part... More

WE have eaten at this restaurant four times and it is one of the reasons we continue to go back to Oaxaca. We love the food, atmosphere and the staff. WE walked in after a year and the waiter gave me a hug and remembered me. The end each meal with a glass of complimentary Lemoncello and that is reason... More

We have known and followed Mexita, the labor of love of a Neapolitan married to a Oaxaca woman, since it had barely two tables and little more than a hot plate in the corner. The food is and always has been great. Enrique spares neither effort nor expense in finding the best seafood from the bay of Naples to the... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Oaxaca City. The food is excellent and the service too. They have the best pizzas baked in the garden-side wood-fired oven. They have a new location at Dr. Federico Ortiz Armengol # 105 (near the corner of Calz. Porfirio Díaz), in Colonia Reforma. It is about 25 minutes walking from downtown Oaxaca.... More

The food here is good, and the views are truly lovely! Like some other restaurants in Oaxaca, the wait staff must pay if it does not serve at least five glasses from each bottle of wine (or at least that is what I was told by a manager). Of course, paying for a glass of wine is prohibitive for a... More

Good afternoon, I m glad that you've visited us, our cas of wines are completely accurate measures of estadard and very well served, you cannot compare a glass of wine to a glass of beer. Perhaps you were looking for a restaurant cantina, i am very sorry, we are restaurant and sell wines exclusively Italianps imported or made by me,... More

A friend invited me to this excellent, out of the way restaurant. We had nice drinks, really outstanding pizza, and the best tiramisu I have ever had. It is a classy place with well-trained staff and reasonable prices for quality meals.

It is hard to open a restaurant in Oaxaca, specially if you are not from Oaxaca, A restaurant in Oaxaca has to be excellent in order to survive. Mexita is the best Italian restaurant at the moment. They make their own Ricotta cheese, their house wine, their own limoncello and everything is prepared at the moment. I strongly recommend it,... More

We arrived soon after the 2pm opening, were seated near the kitchen(we chose the table). The waiter took our order in Spanish, although I did notice they had some English speakers available. We ordered a pizza, while we waited the owner(I assume) brought out bruschetta on the house. Pizza was neopolitan style, made with in-house made proscuitto, mozzarella, dough and... More

Went here with a friend, and after looking for it for almost half an hour (or more), weren't we pleased by it?! Pizza was delicious, however, there was a little miscommunication since we didn't speak Spanish, and they didn't speak English very well. We did order lasagna too, and after our pizza, we waited for half an hour for the... More
