Off the beaten track but worth it

Sitting here now waiting for our gnocchi which just arrived. Had an excellent arugula with pear followed by a rocking calebreze pizza. House wine was in incredible Tempranillo and Cabernet blend. Great taste and value !!!

Period. The owner is from Napoli and he knows what's up! It is a bit pricy - We had 2 pizzas and 2 beers for 500 pesos which is the most expensive meal we had in Mexico. But we'd do it again!

In Salt Lake City we have 2 pizza establishments certified by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (VPN) of Naples, Italy. I've also eaten my fare share of pizza in Italy, and this place, by consensus, is great by Oaxacan standards. It is below average by Italian standards, and below average compared to the two VPN certified pizzerias in my home,... More

We wanted a change from Mexican food, and came to Mexita because of TripAdvisor reviews. It turned out to be everything the reviews promised, and more. 1) The building, gardens and decor are fantastic - we sat in a romantic table in one corner of the garden. Great music. Mexico is set back off Porfirio Diaz on a small street... More

Real Italian with real Italian. When the meal is to feel that everything is homemade, from pasta, balsamic vinegar over until the mozzarella !!! Personal Care owner was very pleasant. We enjoyed it :)

This is the best Italian restaurant in Oaxaca and maybe in Mexico. Pizzas are perfect, salads are fresh. Everything seems to be local produce and made in an authentic Italian manner. The house wine is fantastic by the way.

We were visiting Oaxaca and we decided to change the dinner from traditional Oaxaca food (which is very good) and try an Italian restaurant. I always try Italian restaurants in every city I have been. I always trust Trip advisor and I was surprise that one Italian restaurant was in the third spot of all Oaxacan restaurants. The restaurant is... More

We knew that Oaxaca was noted for its food, but we didn't expect to find such a nice Italian restaurant. It is in a quiet neighborhood (Colonia Reforma) and worth the trip.

Came here with my parents by luck on our first night in Oaxaca. We had been eating Mexican food straight for a week and my stomach wasn't doing so well, so I wanted a little something different. This fit the bill and then some! We ended up coming here two times during our week stay in Oaxaca. Our first night,... More
