I ordered a fish that was excellent and had a potato puree that was also excellent. However... only 1 tablespool of puree and a tiny piece of fish. My partner ordered meat and received 2 huge chunks of meat and 1 teaspoon of puree, plus 1 green leave. The food tastes good, but the servings are unbalanced and too small.

Reading a recent review that stated the restaurant overlooks Santo Domingo Church with a club nearby prompted me to write to correct this error. The restaurant overlooks part of the Quinta Real Hotel. Santo Domingo is a block and a half north . Perhaps the reviewer was thinking of Casa Oaxaca whose bar and terrace provides a view of the... We had not been to Oaxaca for a few years so when I realized one of my favorite galleries was no longer at this location I was disappointed. The property is so beautiful I urged my husband to just take a peek inside with me to see what was happening. The restaurant was just opening for the day. We asked... More

Good first floor restaurant overlooking San Domingo- next to a bar with live jazz playing which was rather good one removed- just the right volume! Menu is creative and well cooked. Unfortunately the camarone ceviche was too salty but they took the plates away without question and return with a fresh plate with reduced salt and very good.

We ate at Pitiona on New Years Eve and had a great meal plus fantastic drinks (thanks to the top recommendations). Excellent seafood and meat plates, superb Mezcals!

Got a last minute reservation here and had 7pm dinner for two downstairs. The food is delicious and the service and presentation are excellent. Modern spins on traditional dishes, we loved the tetelas de venado, tacos de lechon, and the buñuelo with mousse de quesillo. Best whiskey collection we've seen in Mexico, not to mention copious mezcal options (of course)... More

One of the 50 best restaurants in latin america. For Sure. Inventive and delicious. It wasn't so crowded so we got the opportunity to enjoy the place as it's best. If you visit Oaxaca you have to dine here.

Food in Oaxaca can be hit and miss, but give this place a go for some regional treats. The food is good, service at the top end of what you can expect in Mexico. Th stuffed avocado and shrimp ceviche was amazing. Perhaps too expensive for some, but worth it for a treat.

I just had a really delicious meal here - did the 6 course tasting menu with drinks pairings. All was delicious, but unfortunately described in Spanish so i didn't understand what I was eating! All lovely & it seemed a lot of it was traditional food with a modern twist. Great all mexican wine list too.
