Excellent food

The meat couscous I had was excellent and generous, enjoyed it a lot! The ice mint tea was good (nothing spectacular). The prices are not given away, the service was ok (waited 40 min for my meal) but the waitress did not bring back the change (15 pesos) within a couple of minutes (perhaps she... read more

Stumbled upon this restaurant/tea house 3 years ago and stopped to have a mint tea....just had to return 3 years later to enjoy it again, this time with some dessert. Near a park in the northern edge of the city (around from the Jardin Conzatti, on Reforma street, near the Calzada Niños Héroes entranceway to the city). They've added other... More

I had the chicken kebab, which came with a nice chilled rice (maybe couscous)/vegetable salad, and some other cooked veggies. You need to order pita on the side for the excellent hummus. I took the waiter's suggestion of hot mint tea for my beverage, which was exceptionally aromatic. The menu is fairly short but has a good selection, and sadly,... More

We've visited El Morocco a few times now, and each time we leave seriously impressed. It's a beautiful restaurant in a nice quiet part of town, with very friendly staff. My boyfriend loves their chicken cous cous, which is so similar to the the cous cous we tried when we visited Morocco earlier this year. I love the 'chicken sandwich'... More

When (and if) you tire of Mexican fare, wander into this sweet Moroccan/Lebanese resto for a distinctive meal. One afternoon on my own, I was ready for something different -- and I found it. That day's special of chicken served with couscous tempted. But my heart was set on moussaka. There are many versions of moussaka. Some such as the... More

Atmosphere, service, and food were all perfect. Every single thing we ordered (two lunchtime visits) was excellent, fresh, tasty and the location off a not-too-busy street near a pleasant square is also nice. Absolutely worth coming here after you've had your fill of Oaxacan food.

The restaurant choices in Oaxaca (except for various forms of moles) are limited. This hidden gem is worth going to. Try the kefta sandwich. It transports me back to Morocco. It is located just a short walk from the Conzatti park in the centre of Oaxaca. The atmosphere is also a taste of Morocco. Very comfortable.

we had previously had some takeout pastries from El Morocco and decided to have lunch there. We arrived before they were opening that day but they welcomed us and seated us early, serving us mint tea. We ordered Greek salad, flavorful, finely chopped cucumber/tomato/mint/feta salad and cheese and meat appetizers, in a flaky buttery phyllo pastry.

We came because it was recommended by Trip Advisor. As people familiar with Morrocon food, the Pasttia looked better than it tasted. It was a bit dry and the shell not crispy enough. The salad with mint was very good. They were also a bit stingy with the typical mint tea , which typically is offered freely, and here we... More
