Good prices on the beer, lovely benches by open air windows and tasty tacos all at a good price - what more need I say?! Top it all off with good and friendly service. This is the place for lunch after walking the town.

The Don Juanito located on M. Bravo 216 was our go-to place for lunch, dinner or a snack. We never made it to their other locations. This tacqueria is pleasant but don't expect an exceptional experience in Oaxaca. If you want good service and good food like tacos, pozole, guacamole, and table salsas then stop by here. We ate here... More

This is one of the best places for pozole in Oaxaca and I thoroughly recommend it. It is a comfortable restaurant to eat at, but we usually just order delivery if we are having a night in. They usually have both types of pozole (white and red), red already having chilli mixed into the sauce from the beginning and white... More

First of all, there are 2 of these, one on the corner of JP Garcia and Zarazoga (smaller, somewhat more limited menu), and the other (nicer) one around Las Casas and 20 de Noviembre close to the Zocolo. We tried the one on Garcia first and thought it was good, although nothing was really breathtaking. Good big jarra de limonada.... More

We visited one night after eating a substantial lunch, wanting nothing more than a few tacos for dinner. This was the perfect place. They offer a wide variety of tacos (along with many other choices) which were delivered to our table after a very short wait. The tacos are prepared in an area right in one of the dining areas... We were recommended this place by our hotel for some Pozole. This is a nice restaurant, a little more up market then the standard cantinas. There is a fairly large range of food to choose from and the service was fast and very good. However the food was ok, nothing special The pozole here was not very good, I would... More

I usually stay in a hotel just up the hill from Don Juanito's, which is how I found this clean, quaint place. The waiters are young, friendly and very expedient. One room is more like a family room with a large screen TV; the adjoining room, with windows on the street, is where live music (guitar duos) begins around 9... More

Too bad we tried the restaurant on our last day in Oaxaca...( the food was amazing! Not just good, but amazing! Best tlayuda and pozole I've ever had in my entire life. That good...They are known for tacos, we opted not to have then since we were going to PV next and knew we will have a lot of those,... More

We wanted a casual dinner with wine on a Saturday night after a large lunch and were very impressed with the quality of the food. The service was good. The atmosphere was authentic Oaxacan - we were the only touristas there. Our only misgiving was the presence of a large screen Tv, which we, like most other patrons, managed to... More

Drove down from San Miguel de Allende and wanted a place close by to eat. Used trip advisor to find. I ordered a margarita but the waiter had a perplexed look and 10 min later still did not had one so changed to a beer. (Maybe language barrier) had a chorisso and cheese quesidila, was pretty good. Was a quiet... More
