I love the rooftop terrace next to Sto. Domingo. Get a seating at dusk and see darkness fall over the hills of Oaxaca. It is the single best place in Mexico. The Food is excellent & honest and the location is perfection.

We ate here tonight and enjoyed the food but wouldn't rave about it. Really liked the design of the restaurant and the staff were quite accommodating despite the language barrier. Slightly annoying that we spent over 1200pesos but when we asked to finish our bottle of wine upstairs we were told there wouldn't be enough room.... It wasn't busy at... More

Best food we enjoyed in Oaxaca. Surpassed our expectations. Was a bit more pricier than the other rated restaurants we ate at, and for Mexico in general. But selection, taste, presentation and service were all superior. We sat on the terrace overlooking the cathedral and streets - was so enjoyable. We did have an unrecognized drink charge on the bill... More

everything about this restaurant was classy and in control. The food was, again, great and resourceful and the service excellent. Saturday night music by a great trio added to the experience

Waiter did not attend to our table as he was busy attending larger group tables --understandable from a tips perspective, but also felt ignored the entire meal. Things that we had to flag someone down and ask for: - To order drinks - To order food (asked to wait a few minutes before we could actually order our food). -... More

A cut above most restaurants we ate at in a five week trip to Mexico. The rooftop seating has a wonderful atmosphere, the service is excellent, with touches like making salsa to order at the table side. Food was outstanding, we both had tasty, original salads to start, then I had crispy duck tacos and my bf had a beautiful... More

They deliver what they promise - to give Oaxaca's culinary tradition a new twist, offered by an extremely kind and attentive service in a lovely and romantic rooftop. It is one of the most expensive meals in this gastronomic city, but it is totally worth it. Do make a reservation.

I’m not sure why this place is #11 on the reviews. At the time of this review it has over 300 reviews. The #1 ranked restaurant only has 10 reviews!!! How a restaurant can get a #1 ranking with just 10 reviews is a mystery . I haven’t eaten at #1 but we did eat at #2 and I personally... More

Casa oaxaca is one of the highest rated restaurants in the city with one of the best chefs in Mexico. Our visit did not dissapoint its taking classic Oaxacan food to a higher level. Everything we had was just great. You have to make reservations or you might not get in.

Went here just for drinks one night. The margaritas were very good and the chips and salsa were amazing -- I basically made them my dinner. I sat in the interior courtyard, so also great people-watching!
