The most amazing place!

I lunched at this restaurant for a reason, as I had lost something, and wanted to say thank you to the staff, as they found my lost object and would not let me give them a reward. So I ordered the local specialty Tlayuda, a large corn tortilla spread with frijoles and cheese with a tasty rib eye... read more

We could not fault this charming restaurant. We were offered the rooftop terrace with floodlit views to the Santo Domingo church but it was just too chilly. Instead we sat semi outside in a quiet spacious spot and were served an exceptionally delicious dinner - ceviche, tostada of rabbit with black bean sauce, tortellitas of crispy duck and wonderful grilled... This restaurant was highly rated and recommended. We had a written confirmation and when we arrived they could not find our reservation and acted as if there was a problem. Finally they seated us and as you would expect it will plenty of tables all through dinner. It's a a beautiful restaurant and were seated outdoors. The service was terrible... More

oaxaca is known for it's food and this place didn't disappoint, starting with the lovely surroundings on the rooftop setting. i've had squash blossoms before but always in a batter preparation. this was different, not sure how they maintained the integrity of the flowers but it was just delicious. i also shared a tongue and octopus dish with a friend... We were staying at casa oaxaca and so the hotel made our reservation for us, resulting in a great table on the roof terrace, very busy, great food on the expensive side but worth it.

Celebrated wife's birthday with a fabulous dinner on the terrace. Wonderful menu--my granddaughter got an octopus (pulpa) dish and loved it. Very attentive service. Do it!

Delicious mole and strong magarita! Amazing food there but the guy who served my table was so grumpy.

Service needs to improve. The food was not hot when presented and twice the price of what I consider to be the best of Oaxaca

Just behind the Templo de Sante Domingo houses this fime restaurant. We had a lunch on the roof-terrace with the street music mixing with the tunes from the speakers. Great food, splendid service. I had the "stone soup", cooked at the table. The local brew with Mescal - a porter-type beer - tastes great.
