After a week of food adventures we were ready for something familiar and were pleased with how good this restaurant is. We just had pizza and a salad, but the wine list is impressive (there is an enoteca section and wine store) and the deli counter had a full selection of Italian products. We will be back.

This is an upscale Italian pasta-pizza place with stylish courtyard eating space and a nice rooftop terrace too. I ate here once and my pizza was excellent, although my margaritas were ordinary (the first one frozen - blended with ice – and the second one on the rocks). I felt that prices were pretty high for what I ate, though,... More

We were positively surprised with lovely pasta and risotto dish we had. It was best italian food in Mexico so far. We were even happier with a great wine choice and how well it was kept. Highly recommended if you crave for nice glass of red in the world of Mezcal :-)

Expensive for Oaxaca, sure. But for years it has been the best Italian restaurant in the city, and remains as such, in its fairly new locale, spacious with traditional open courtyard with pleasant decor. Service is courteous and efficient. Both drink (especially) and food arrive in a timely fashion by Oaxacan standards .... but this is fine dining, and it... More

I've never had luck with Italian in Oaxaca. Stopped here last night on a rainy evening. The crostini with white beans was AMAZING. Those beans were flavorful and rich and gorgeous. Porcetta alla birra special was huge and excellent. We then had a pasta each. A little too much salt in all the dishes. Great wine list and kept reds... More

OK Italian food, a little heavy on the sauce. We had pasta dishes which were ok, certainly not worth the price charged. To expensive, and by far not the best italian food in town

We really enjoyed our late night pit stop at Vieja Lira. We'd had a terrible dinner earlier in the evening and were left jaded and still a bit hungry so we stopped into this place on a whim and had a really nice prosciutto pizza and glass of wine. Nice romantic atmosphere and pleasant staff.

I joined a group of friends on the rooftop terrace and enjoyed a very nice meal of salmon pasta and margarita pizza. This is a mellow, unpretentious place that was full of locals. Very recommendable!

Not ravenous after a hefty lunch, found lovely choice of salads and soups (selected a tasty tomato based Pasta y Fagioli with aromatic sprigs of rosemary but no discernible pasta); one of us couldn't resist (or finish) the potato gnocchi with a bright green pesto sauce a tad light on pine nuts. Wide choice of wines by the glass and... More

We shared a pizza and salad at this beautiful restaurant. The service was fantastic and the thin crust pizza was great. It was a nice change to get some real Italian food here.
