Go every year, excellent moles, good service

We have had a series of lovely meals, focussing on the moles (seven). Delicious, good service, whether with family with small children, or with old adult friends. Relaxed and refined dining.

We got a recommendation of this place and we decided to got. we were 4 persons and the service was slow, there were a few more tables with foreigns who were well attended for the waiter than us, so to be a foreing is a major reason to get a better service? Any way we decided to order the traditional... More

We went to Los Paco to learn more about mole sauces. We have had mole in Puerto Vallarta, and were only so-so on it. We ordered Mole Amarillo with pork, and Mole Colorado with chicken. Both were quite delicious, had very different flavours, and changed our impression of mole. Before our meal we were given a complimentary plate of slightly... More

This place was always crowded while passing by and it piqued my curiosity . Eventually I came there for lunch and only one other table was occupied. I ordered a beef dish with rice, vegetables ,tortillas , sauces and toasted pork rinds . The food arrived fairly quickly and I dove in for a tasting. I was disappointed that the... More

My stomach was upset and we were looking for some good old chicken soup. Found it here. the soup had lots of chicken and some rice. Husband had another soup and it was good also. Place is cute and decorated nicely, but again service is so slow.

Wandering one block away from where we are staying, we peek into the window of a restaurant, go in, subsequently found out many consider it to be the best Oaxaqueño food! 7 different types of mole, mezcal, chapulines...nice wines, very good tasajo! And, surprisingly, as in many restaurants in Oaxaca, delicios variations on consomme'...! Helpful staff to help you decide... More

Los Pacos is famous for its mole, so don't think about ordering anything else. The mole comes in a variety of colors -- red, green and yellow as well as the traditional brown -- and the sampler plate is more than a meal in itself, a tasty culinary introduction to the favorite local spices. It all goes down even better... More

Los Pacos is THE place to eat mole in Oaxaca - the capital of mole... Mole is a family of rich, sophisticated sauces involving lists of ingredients as long as your arm. The most famous 'mole negro' (black mole) includes cocoa and plantain and different chilies. At Los Pacos you can enjoy a selection of six moles, and mezcals. They... More

Oaxaca is known for excellent cuisine, and Los Pacos occupies an enviable spot among its top restaurants. From an enormously flavorful salad, creatively prepared, to a tangy soup and on to a spectacular mole with tongue, this restaurant never failed to excite our taste buds. Beyond that, though it was full, the service was fast and attentive. As an example:... More

Recommended by our driver, this place was great and offered terrific authentic Oaxacan dishes - all beautifully presented. While there was no English menu, with the help of our waiter, we ordered red mole and other mouth watering dishes in this attractive space. More like an art gallery than a restaurant setting, we relaxed using their wifi and enjoyed a... More
