This is a favorite stop with visitors who would like to sample the seven moles of Oaxaca. A sampler is provided from which you can choose one or more moles for your comida. Hard tacos are also good, as well as the filet. We strongly prefer the suburban location to the one in the centro.

I do not normally write reviews, but the food at Los Pacos was so disappointing that I felt I had to comment on it. My wife has never been to Oaxaca so I thought the mole sampler could give her a taste of what various moles of Oaxaca were like. Los Pacos is more expensive than where we normally eat... More

My boyfriend and I went here on the Sunday after the Santa Semana and a rain storm (closing down their terrace), so the restaurant was, I assume, emptier than usual. The service was prompt and polite, a wonderful compliment to the meal we received. Clean bathrooms and the local artworks added to the atmoshpere. We chose to eat at Los... More

My husband and I loved this restaurant... the food was incredible and we really appreciated the free mole sampler that was brought out to us and the waiter who explained each one. A lot of love goes into this food, and the quality is apparent! I'd recommend getting the appetizer sampler because you can try a lot of the options... More

Funny how memories of restaurant meals ultimately become a price/value equation. We had been trying the "top" restos in Oaxaca for 3 nights - felt a little like Goldilocks: one had terrible (almost "mean") service, one was trying too hard to be upscale and 'continental', another was just not that good, then FINALLY we drifed into Los Pacos for lunch... When we arrived, it took a few minutes for the busy waiter to notice our presence and give us the menu. He could, however, explain to us very well the dishes. The food took some time to prepare, but the result was just excelent. The environment is simple, not very invitive. Prices are OK, not expensive but not cheap. We... More

Take a mile walk up past the Ninos Heros and the first class bus station. Past that nasty new Starbucks. Head under the thatched roof(OK, it has steel beams holding everything up, but it is thatched with some kind of tree leaves), You are at Los Pacos in Colonia Reforma. Taste the seven moles. Pick one. That's it. Just mole... More

We stumbled in here on a Saturday night after returning our rental car. We were tired and hungry, they were super-busy and I did not have high expectations. But, I was quite happy with both the service and the food. The mixed green salad was fresh, interesting and more than big enough to split for two people. I had the... More

Nice little restaurant ! Had a yummy Caesar salad, made at the table like the old days! Had a yummy mole on my chicken tacos. Everything fresh and a place you can try all the different moles! Not inexpensive but fair!

Los Pacos is well-appointed and conveniently located near the center of Oaxaca. Like most places in the greater Oaxaca area, it seems to specialize in mole. One thing that my friends and I liked -- a lot! -- was that they bring out tortillas and samples of six different moles before you order so you can have your dish "customized"... More
