Gourmet dishes but quite limited menu. The flavored soda water was terrible. Decent service. Wasn't crowded. Excellent cocktails. Was a surreal location surrounded by 30 foot walls and a funky retracting roof.

This is the kind of place you could only wish were in your home town. Not in NY, Chicago, LA, or SF would find this quality, creativity and out right execution at this price. And not just for Mexican food - this is for ANY cuisine. Go, explore the menu, eat the things that sound to weird to be true.... More

Food is consistently good, and the chocolate cascade is our absolute favorite dessert. The duck dishes are especially intriguing, as is the raw tuna. Service and ambiance are both excellent.

One of the most unique dining experiences ever! If being a foodie is what drew you into Oaxaca in the first place, then Los Danzantes is a must on your bucket list. Not only is the ambiance absolutely breathtaking and unique, but the cocktails and the food are also very divine. We ordered several items from the menu including a... More

Went there for lunch. It is situated in a secluded internal patio, with modern decor. Food was fine but not memorable, so the place doesn't outstand in Oaxaca, where eating is always an exquisite experience, and food has tons of personality. Visited one night for a glass of wine and the place looks even better. Service was good, price fair... More

As soon as you step foot on this restaurant you realize you are in for a unique dining experience. Beautifully designed, the water feature and the unconventional semi-open air space bring the best qualities of al-fresco dining. The food was excellent. The kind that denotes a very passionate and devoted chef. You can taste the careful choice of flavors and... More

Of all of the restaurants we ate at in Oaxaca I liked this one the least. The service was excellent and the terrace dining area was quite nice but I felt the food was only okay. I think it would have been better to just have stopped by for a drink to enjoy the calm surroundings and then eaten elsewhere.

Another "foodie" experience that is not to be missed while in Oaxaca. The food is outstanding, the service delightful and the "menu del dia" pricing hard to comprehend... We had four wonderful courses for lunch including Burrata and Dorado as a main course for 130 pesos pp. Do go and judge for yourself! This place does not disappoint! Hope this... More

This was our first exploration of Oaxaca so we didn't know exactly what to expect. We hit Tripadvisor for a list of the top eateries and Los Danzantes showed up high in the top ten. After strolling the beautiful Calle Macedonia Alcala to the Cultural Museum, we found ourselves standing outside Danzantes at about two in the afternoon, hungry, thirsty... More

The setting of this restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and worth going for that alone. Cocktails are divine and waiters very good. I simply do not understand those complaining about the price - 2 entrees, 2 mains, 2 cocktails, 2 beers was about $68 (including tip). Very affordable. Not many vegetarian options - only one main, which my partner liked but... More
