Very good

NIce jap food, a little bit mor expensive that it should be. The japonez at condesa area is just small but the Santa Fe one has room for everyone

When traveling and I can't find a veggie friendly restaurant i usually go to a sushi place because they usually have a lot of dishes I can eat. El Japonez is not a vegetarian friendly place. BUT if you are a sushi lover, according to my friend he loved the place. He had a few dishes and raved about them.... More

I have been to the Japonez Santa Fe a few times; it's good quality japanese food, well prepared, nice variety in the menu. I have noticed that the soy containers and sometimes the dishes or glasses, are chipped. I dislike this, hopefully they would discard and replace.

There is very less of Japanese about to this place. I struggled a lot to order since everything has a twist from the more traditional recipes. Finally when I achieved to find something appealing, the final result was extremely unsatisfactory: average flavors and at all eyes the dishes don't justify the overprice... As many said in their reviews, the place... More

it's difficult to find a good sushi place among the thousands in Mexico City, but for those of us that have been in Japan , i would have to say this is one of the best and better priced places. you can't go wrong with it,

Everything looks cool but the place is dark and the menu's colors are terrible so the first challenge is to chose what to eat. The dishes taste good but are overpriced. Service is OK but still the place is always crowded so make sure to call in advance to make reservations or arrive early.

I've been in this restaurant about four times, I like the food, I've never had any bad experience and the service is excelent and the decor also. I've been to many other more expensive japanese restaurants in Mexico City and for me El Japonez is the one that gives me the best value for the money I spend.

We dined on a sunday afternoon in a group of 8. Its was quite busy which is always worrying in any first-time restaurant as the standard can drop if the organization and eye for detail is not there. Well thats what practically happened to us. We tried a wide variety of dishes and starters. The simple stuff, like the noodle... More

My office is very near from there so I eat there a lot. If you are on a budget you can try the spicy salad either with salmon or tuna. Its really good and goes under 15 bucks. Or you can also have the sashimis. Fine or thick cut they are really fresh and amazing. The restaurant is a little... More

This is my third time in Mexico City, after a while you want something a little different. I was craving some Japanese food. One thing I have noticed at the three restaurants is that Japanese restaurants at least in the places I have been to use regular rice which in my opinion changes the texture and taste of sushi rolls...
