Great carnitas

Luckily enough, this is not a restaurant chain, although for their 70th birthday they just opened their first restaurant at a food court in Polanco. I went for the carnitas which were good but the squash flower quesadilla was fantastic and a nice alternative for vegetarians but there is cheese so not so much for vegans. Forgive for not taking a picture but it looked and smelled so good that I inhaled it immediately!

We had great Quesadillas and Enchilladas with Mole for a reasonable price in this nice Restaurant where you will also find many locals. Definetly a place to go!

I brought a group of six visiting New Yorkers to a delightful dinner at Los Panchos (which I knew from previous visits to the D.F.). Although I had only had lunch there before - and both the lighting and general vibe are more "lunch" than "dinner" - the meal did not disappoint. My friends had wanted a traditional Mexican meal,... I have to admit, this place serves one of the best mole I ever had. We ordered an enchiladas sampler: red, green and mole enchiladas. Please follow my advice and don't make the same mistake. The star of the evening was mole. Chocolaty and rich, with hints of cinnamon and poblano mole high jacked our senses. If you visit Los... More

In Mexico City working for a few days and everyone I talked to said "Go to Los Panchos!" It was only two blocks from our hotel so we went on a night that was pouring rain - perfect location for us! The food is good, solid Mexican food. No fuss, not fancy, just good food. We are vegetarian so we... More

Our driver, who was born an raised in Mexico city, took us there to have us try the kind of mexican food that locals have every day while at work or on the go. Very good traditional food

If you are looking to try real Mexican food in a Restaurant that has been around for 60 years and has great prices, Excellent Food and Good Service, this is the place to visit. Start by trying the free Carrots they bring, they are hot. Then start off with some Carnitas Tacos, ask for Maciza if you like lean meat,... More

This is the place to go if you are near Polanco, maybe at the Camino Real (it's 2 blocks from there), try some real mexican food (you know, what we mexican eat). The specialty are the tacos de carnitas, try costilla, maciza and cueritos. Drink some fresh jamaica water and have flan for dessert.

Very good tacos. This place is always full and for a good reason, the food is very good. It is a small 2 floor restaurant, close to the Camino Real Hotel. I would recommend this to anyone traveling and staying in the area.
