Great Sushi and Service

During my latest trip to Mexico City, I had dinner at Suntory and got very impressed by the high quality of the sushi, service and authentic Japanese setting. It's conveniently located just a few blogs away from the World Trade Center. I highly recommend this restaurant for business or pleasure.

The reception and service is very attentive although a little too familiar for my liking. The dishes are OK- but nothing is exceptional or has any real merit; it is formulaic at best. It would not be a surprised for me to learn of an absentee and/or ageing chef leaving the kitchen to be run by cooks. I have eaten... More

This place has earned its reputation over many years due to the consistency, well trained staff and high standards in their food. The ingredients are first class and always prepared perfectly. With a beautiful Japanese garden and full bar service its a great place for business, family or special occasions.

From the moment you step into Suntory you get a feeling of being truly welcome. Had dinner there with my son and enjoyed the experience. Service staff very knowledgeable and forthcoming. Food was prepared very professionally. All in all I will go back there and recommend this place to anyone who would like to enjoy some of the best Japanese... More

I went there alone, ordered a bunch of sushis and got a lemon juice (more water than juice!). The bill was around $45 (dolars). I consider this to be a bit expensive for a simple japanese meal for a single person. The restaurant is on a good location and staff courtesy was nice. I still recommend the restaurant, but go... I've visited this Japanese restaurant in Mexico City many, many times. The food is superb, the service is friendly and accommodating and the drinks are well served. If anything, it may lack a bit of lustre on the social side: Too many birthdays and the occasional shady businessman. But it is nothing to put you off. Not the cheapest but... More

Too expensive for what it really is. Quality could be better, service is impeccable. They try too hard and keep failing miserably. The environment is too posh.

Had dinner with friends, wide variety of veggies and meats, of course we did the beef tacos. All was great including dessert and the wines. Be cautious when selecting a location as a taxi can deliver people to the wrong restaurant by mistake. This happened to me.

This (Suntory del Valle) is the best Japanese Restaurant in Mexico. They have the famous Tacos Checa (not on the menu) - the truly authentic Japanese Rib-eye Tacos that everyone should try. To have an enjoyable time go to a traditional table (only available in Del Valle) and avoid smelling like a greasy barbecue when sitting at a Tepanyaki Table.

Located on Reforma Avenue, very near Polanco Scene, is this restaurant. This restaurant has been opened for more than 30 years and offers a great quality and impressive service, It is expensive, but its worth for a special occasion. Try the Tepanyaki, "tacos Checa" are of the menu and are great. Also the desserts are good if you like chocolate... More
