Located in Polanco, great place to go for modern mexican cuisine. Save plenty of room for the desserts love the Almond Cake with White chocolate and fantastic coffee.

Had a business dinner here with 12 people. It's in the heart of ever-so-trendy Polanco, and the upstairs has a nice view of the street, if you want to people watch. The restaurant was nearly empty when we started (very early - 7 PM) but was also surprisingly empty when we left at 10:30. As you would expect, they were... More

Although many guide books warn reservations are needed, that certainly wasn't the case. We were one of 2 tables downstairs during prime dining hours on a Saturday night. The restaurant feels like it is dying--no patronage, dated decor with a mostly empty wine cellar plainly visible. There was very little staff and those present were cold and not particularly helpful.... More

Patricia Quintana is one of the best Mexican Chefs, I had a ‘Tamal” and “Ate con queso” that was great, the service was real good and the people I went with were amazed by the flavor combination and Mexican food

We where four people. The restaurant decoration is not great, actually it is too simple. I was a bit dissapointed... Then we order the food, and i was surprised! it was DELICIOUS.... The service was very good too.

We had heard good things about Patricia Quintana´s restaurant Izote, and we were excited to have our first meal in Mexico at this highly praised establishment. Unfortunately what we found was a place wholy devoid of character. The food was fine, but the restaurant was completely empty with an "about to close" feel, and this was at 9 p.m. at... More

I have never been so horrified by a dining experience in my life... We were a party of three, and I spent my entire evening apologizing for this terrible recommendation. I cannot believe this restaurant has so many good reviews -- based on what? To start off, the presentation is absolutely nauseating, and that's still being too nice. Our ceviche... More

Worst restaurant I have ever been to, in any city, any cuisine - food poisoning is the main concern coming out if there. Scary stuff. Gladly paid the full bill to get the hell out of there.

We ate at Izote on a Saturday night. We had heard a lot about it and were surprised to find an almost empty restaurant. The restaurant itself lacks atmosphere and charm. There was only one waiter (and a rather grumpy one) on duty, there was no wine menu and only very few wines available. The food was good particularly the... More

Mexican food can mean many things to many people specially if you are from USA. To really start understanding the many level of flavors included in the preparation a trip to Izote de Patricia Quintana is a must. Seasonally you can also taste regional dishes. The atmosphere is relaxed and parking very convenient. I have been 5 times so far... More
