Hunan is beautifully decorated with lush plants. Service is excellent. Unfortunately the food doesn't match the decor or the expectations. We found it lack lustre. The smoked duck was dry and just served on its own with no accompanying sauce or vegetables. We ordered the assortment of Hunan entrees which were equally disappointing. The soft shell crab tasted like they... More

Very elegant in one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the city. Asian food is excellent. Don't come on a budget. Service is wonderful too. It's a classic. Been there forever.

The best Chinese food in Mexico or outside of China for that matter! The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is without a doubt elegant and spectacular. The wrapped asparagus appetizer was amazing. We were at a large table that had a lazy susan in the middle so we ordered several different dishes and shared everything. We had a duck... More

The training of the wait staff to perform elegant gestures and serving surpasses the quality of the dishes which are competent but not exceptional. For the same money you can do much better in New York.

The best plate of Hunan is the Peking Duck. The waiters bring the full duck to your table, they cut it in pieces and prepare it in front of you. The decor is dated and it's not Chinese decor. The ambiance is graceless. Make a reservation, it gets crowded. It's not solid, it's a hit or miss. The waiters have... More

Hunan is our favorite Chinese restaurant, service is great in an elegant atmosphere. Our favorite is the "return of the Phoenix" crunchy spicy chicken, Peking duck and spring rolls.

Whenever I am in Mexico City there are two restaurants I have to vist. 1. HUNAN 2. MAXIMO BISTROT Hunan has the best Peking Duck and one of the best Bombay Saphire Martinis. Maximo Bistrot has the best menu, best food and service that I have experienced in a long time.
