Very good service. Upstairs is more quiet and allows for business meetings. Had a great meal and plenty of good coffee.

We always eat at Matisse when we visit Mexico City. The reason is simple, extraordinary food; everything we have had there is wonderful and the service and cleanliness is without reproach. The host, Mr. Sergio Chonkosky is a very courteous and knowledgeable gentleman who has always made us feel special and will go out of his way to meet your... More

I like going to Matisse for breakfast, they claim to have the best chilaquiles in town, and I must say they ARE quite good. Their freshly baked bread and pastries make the waiting for the main dishes oh-so worth it. The place is perfect for breakfast with family, friends or even a business partner. The decor is tasteful, without being... More

We went to Matisse for lunch on Sunday - The place is very beautiful and have a lovely indoor little square. Around us were mainly families. Service was very good. The food is all old fashion eastern european - from the bread to the main dish - and although it is not my taste I have to say it was... More

Originally an old style colonial house deep into the Condesa neighbourhood, this restaurant has small but really good food options. Their bakery (top of the line!) has some of the best "pan dulce (sweet bread)" round there. The "Chocolatin" is their top piece, people actually go early around 9 am and que to get some. Food is nice, mostly balanced.... More

Stopped around 9pm for pre-dinner and drinks. Great duck, warm fresh tortillas, a kind of mexican bruschetta with tasty tomatoes, goat cheese. Wish I had had enough time to return! A definite place to come back to and in the lively Condesa neighborhood of Mexico City!

We ate in the courtyard, and suggest you do the same, weather permitting. I had the chicken stuffed with shrimp. An odd combo in my dining history, but that, topped with a cream sauce was tremendous. The creamed spinach was wonderful. It also came with the oddest hashbrown. It wasn't the hasbrown itself that was odd, it was the fact... More

Good coffee and pastery, colonia Condesa, nice short walk from the red tree house hotel. They have all kind of bakery, you can sit or take out.

Went with a group for Mother's Day the place was packed. But service was amazingly fast. The food was acceptable. Will give it another try when not so crowded.
