Great place for Breakfast and excellent "conchas" pastries

Go early on the weekend for fresh bread and bakery goodies. Small and quaint. Great sugar and chocolate "conchas". Eat in or to go!

We researched this place and were quite excited to jettison across town to have a lovely meal here. We booked a 9:30 reservation via OpenTable and were so excited to experience the food here. We arrived ten minutes early, only to see the restaurant locking its doors. Unstoppable we went in the door next to the bakery and let them... More

The place is wonderful, the food is delicious, the service is good but could be better. A classic for breakfast in this town!

After walking on the rain for a few blocks, not knowing what or where we wanted to eat for dinner, we finally came across this restaurant. We were surprised they let us inside, as we were soaking wet. The décor is beautiful: an old house completely refurbished with a beautiful color scheme. We sat downstairs, but went upstairs to see... Prices are very good around 25USD for two people. The place is beautiful with a lot of natural light. Couldnt... More

Very good service. Upstairs is more quiet and allows for business meetings. Had a great meal and plenty of good coffee.

We always eat at Matisse when we visit Mexico City. The reason is simple, extraordinary food; everything we have had there is wonderful and the service and cleanliness is without reproach. The host, Mr. Sergio Chonkosky is a very courteous and knowledgeable gentleman who has always made us feel special and will go out of his way to meet your... More

I like going to Matisse for breakfast, they claim to have the best chilaquiles in town, and I must say they ARE quite good. Their freshly baked bread and pastries make the waiting for the main dishes oh-so worth it. The place is perfect for breakfast with family, friends or even a business partner. The decor is tasteful, without being... More

We went to Matisse for lunch on Sunday - The place is very beautiful and have a lovely indoor little square. Around us were mainly families. Service was very good. The food is all old fashion eastern european - from the bread to the main dish - and although it is not my taste I have to say it was... More
