Competes with the best from Italy

The food is magnificent, the service is good and the Italian wine selection even though OVERPRICED, it is spectacular. I can compare it with some of the best restaurants in Rome. If you like Italian Food and don't mind the price, This is a MUST GO.

Took a large group to the restaurant for a business meal and had a good, but not great time. A range of appertizers were brought for the table, and there was a great variety, there was something from everyone's taste. I followed up with the 'salmon in a bag' as my entree. In truth I thought it was lacking in... More

This would be an amazing Italian restaurant in most of the world’s cities but to find one in Mexico City is special. Our business dinner started with champagne and a glass dome full or black truffles so as to emphasize that most of the specials that night would feature the rare fungus. Behind our table was a glass wall of... More

Waiters try to push the most expensive food and wine. The food is good but not for such price. Very overpriced and arrogant. I definitively agree with other negative reviews posted

First time here and hopefully not the last. Service and food are outstanding and the place is really nice and not so noisy that you have to guess what others at your table are talking about. They have a wine list of fine itaian wines that they import themselves and their cellar is great. Ask your waiter for a tour... More

My boyfriend and I went on a Friday evening. The restaurant is beautiful and at a great location, with great service. We went after a recommendation of a colleague. I ordered a prosecco, not cheap at 180 per glass, but it was of good quality and the glass was quite large. We went for sharing starters and the waiter recommended... More

L'Osteria del Becco is one of my favorite places in Mexico City. The 5 stars are simply linked to food quality. They use top notch authentic Italian fare. The cuisine is simple- pastas , risottos , carpaccios. This is not nouvelle cuisine- just traditional Italian very well made. The only con I can see is that it is indeed expensive... More

the hysteria used to be expensive and not very good, now it is expensive not very good and quite arrogant. the service is haughty and the waiters behaves as if they were doing you a favor. the owner pounces about aloof and condescending, about as amicable as his food is pretentious. do yourself a favour and avoid the place, unless... Good: both carpaccios, octopus and robalo, as well the service and ambience (too much bright light thought) Poor: pasta slightly over cooked (unforgivable for a true Italian restaurant) and the swordfish source was too rich of tomato (slightly acid). Wine list is huge on paper, but then the wine I had asked for (taurasi aglianico) was not available, and was... More
