the hysteria used to be expensive and not very good, now it is expensive not very good and quite arrogant. the service is haughty and the waiters behaves as if they were doing you a favor. the owner pounces about aloof and condescending, about as amicable as his food is pretentious. do yourself a favour and avoid the place, unless... Good: both carpaccios, octopus and robalo, as well the service and ambience (too much bright light thought) Poor: pasta slightly over cooked (unforgivable for a true Italian restaurant) and the swordfish source was too rich of tomato (slightly acid). Wine list is huge on paper, but then the wine I had asked for (taurasi aglianico) was not available, and was... More

L'osteria Becco is a Italian restaurant in Mexico Distrito Federal, they have 2 locations, one in Polanco and another one in Santa Fe, the place is really nice, new, they offer a good wine list and in my opinion its the best italian restaurant in DF.

He si strongly suggested but it looks to be a bit expensive as compared with other restaurants in the city. The manager is great and I would suggest everybody to try at least once if in town. A friend of mine in Italy recommended it to me and he didn't t disappoint me but I wouldn't t go there twice....

This is the best Italian restaurant in Mexico City on my opinion. Service is great, the wine list is incredible and the food is simply amazing. It´s a little pricey but you won´t mind after having such a great experience. It can be a romantic restaurant to go with your loved one but is also great to go with friends... More

This was my second visit to Becco, located in the Polanco area of DF, Mexico. Upscale, modern, private wine room, excellent service and the best part handmade pasta. September is "truffle season", they bring to fresh truffle on a glass plate to show you. Three of us ordered dishes with truffles, handmade ravioli and sea bass. When the dishes arrive... More

Can't complaint about the food which was average good. Unfortunatelly it is a restaurant that I felt was really overpriced for Mexican standarts. I dont think I got my money's worth. A really small glass of Merlot wine for US 15.00 plus tip is double than any other restaurant in the area will charge. A small dish of regular pasta... More

Italian Food is my favourite dish and I am a frequent Business traveler, eating italian Food all the time in many places in the World. L'Osteria del Becco is extremely overpriced compared to the Quality of Food, the mediocre and rather superficial service. I have invited some customers there because the place was recommended to me by a local friend.... More

I am surprised it doesn't have a higher rating. The service is great, super attentive but not in your face all the time. I ordered a superb lobster risotto, very recommended! I spent a long time in Italy and ate some amazing food there and I have to say it was probably the best risotto I've had outside of Italy.... More
