Located in one of the most exclusive areas of the city of Mexico, San Angel, we found this seventeenth century hacienda converted into a famous restaurant and a must for every tourist. From one crosses the gate travels the access time to the classic era, at the center of the comple a fountain sourrounded by a garden and the garnden... More

We were a group of 10 people including a number of local Mexicans. The town of San Angel is very quaint and despite the distance is worth the trip. The hacienda is beautiful and worth a walk around, particularly in the gardens including the back while it is still daylight. Traditional Mexican food, attentive service and live music that is... I was a little hesitant based on the distance outside of the city and the reviews about the food, but ended up having a wonderful family dinner! My husband, myself, mother and grandmother all enjoyed our meals. Dessert was good too, but not out of this world. We got there around 5:00 and did not have a reservation. Fortunately we... More

Had a great lunch this past Friday at San Angel Inn. Made a reservation based on recommendations from others, and we reserved a table in the Garden (a must). We arrived at 1.30, but I would say the crowd started to grow by 3.30pm; evidently a good place for afternoon Friday cocktails. Overall, a solid "A" menu. But fantastic old... More

Beautiful gardens, so to enjoy San Angel Inn on a nice day, it's best to go for lunch and ask to be seated outside (in the patio or under the arcades). This is a very conservative restaurant, from the menu, to the dress and demeanour of the staff (servers rarely smile and are not pro-active). The food is OK, but... More

A great looking restaurant, ideal to take clients or friends and relax in an historic house. Service is fast and very good. The food is not extraordinary, but not bad either. I would not choose this place for the food though.

Every time my husband and I have dinner at San Angel Inn we have such a terrific experience! I've been in so many different restaurants in Mexico City but when you go to this one you get what you expect from one of the best restaurants in Mexico: amazing food, excellent service, great atmosphere and beautiful gardens. This restaurant is... More

We were there for lunch on a Sunday and it was perfect. Great food and a wonderful atmosphere. this is an old Hacienda and it is just plain beautiful. The best seating is under the arcades that surround the beautiful garden.

This is a great hacienda experience. My title includes "if you are only visiting Mexico City" because there are better hacienda options elsewhere in the country (Las Mañanitas in Cuernavaca, for example). But within the DF, San Angel Inn is a great place for visitors to relax, spend the afternoon, and get an experience unlike what they could find outside... More
