A great place to eat with good atmosphere

The food was excellent. The service was excellent. It is a very large place with many private rooms. The architecture is great - a former convent. Those nuns knew how to live (well, maybe not so much). Good ambiance. A good place to take someone if you want to impress. I don't know about the prices... read more

This place is a jewel. The food is exquisite, the staff is always willing to help. It's kind of expensive, but not that much. Try the shrimp and the mole. It's a complete different experience.

The San Angel Inn is one of those places that are always great! The location and the hacienda the restaurant is located in is incredible. Do also take a walk around the rest of the hacienda. The restaurant is elegant and the food is great, no mather what you order, fish, meat or just a salad. Do also try the... More

San Angel isn't just simply a meal, it's a show. It's an antique hacienda where you can find an older crowd taking their time enjoying drinks and long lunches. People seem to know one another and it's a tradition. The food is impeccable as well as the service. Love love love this place. Kinda feels like home.

I would highly recommend the trip if in Mexico City for enough time. I like to go on Saturday morning, there is a non smoking patio that is beautiful. Inside is a nice atmosphere as well. Reservation recommended. On the weekends they have in the garden, an area where kids can play/do activities. I think it's 50 pesos or just... More

My husband and I went to the San Angel Inn to have dinner on our last day in Mexico City. It is a lovely ex-hacienda with great traditional Mexican food. The food and the ambiance are wonderful. It's like dinning in a luxurious hacienda back in the old days. Service is superved and the food is great ! What else... More

It was a last minute family gathering between out of towners and big city relatives. The ambiance is great, the place is impeccable and the service is superb. Great pastries to begin your breakfast with home made jams and marmalade. You need reservations for breakfast, lunch, dinner and special occasions, otherwise, you will have to wait good couple of hours.... More

San Angel is a lovely inn and neighborhood where bigotry is more discrete than in the Polanco neighborhood. Unfortunately this lovely hacienda restaurant is located a very long taxi ride from downtown and other popular neighborhoods so just be prepared for a somewhat grueling 45 minute taxi ride. The food is quite good, rather pricey but a nice change of... More

San Angel Inn restaurant is a traditional mexican hacienda, San Angel is a lovely district in the south of Mexico City, and having lunch at San Angel Inn is a must ¡ Preferably look for a table in the patio if weather is nice.
