I have been to the San Angel Inn on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The hacienda and gardens are always beautiful, the restaurant setting and service as good as I remembered and the traditional Mexican music an added treat. So charming, in fact, you can almost forget that the food is excellent. We were there for the birthday... More

This is a beautiful place with a lovely garden, beautiful furniture inside, chandeliers, and music. I was expecting the best of mexican food, it was a disappointment, no taste on the food , I order Chile en nogada, nothing of a taste. I order sangria, nothing of a taste, I order cheesecake for dessert and nothing.. I would not recommend... More

I returned to San Angel Inn after about 7 years, having been one of the key restaurants during my childhood in Mexico City. It is as charming and good as I have always known it to be! Go at night to see the beautiful lightning around the gardens and building in general. Breathtaking and the food delicious, with excellent service!... More

Great atmosphere and cachet in this typical Mexican hacienda converted into restaurant. Very large, but with many beautiful different places, inside and outside. Quality service. Do not expect the most modern-style food, but rather more traditional style cuisine. Still, very good quality, "no problemo" there. A must-do for a Mexico-City full experience. I went there after visiting the little market... More

We had lunch at San Angel Inn on our first visit to Mexico City. I wanted to go, based on a recommendation in a guide book. We were terrifically pleased ! First of all, the property is so beautiful. There's 3 choices of dining areas. The interior courtyard is gorgeous, and probably the best. The interior and front terrace are... More

The hacienda is the star of the show here, although the food is good to very good. The service is quite attentive but not intrusive. Sitting outside, even in the evening, is very pleasant, and the interior garden is beautiful. Then again, sitting inside in the enormous, high-ceiling rooms of the hacienda is like taking a step back in time.... More

The Hacienda continues to be beautiful, grounds are immaculate. We choose to sit outside to have our dinner enjoying the cool night. I noticed the quality of the food not as good as previous visits. The service was very attentive. Great choice of tequilas and local wines.

My Wife and I went to this mexican restaurant this August for my birthday. I have to say that we have a superb meal, with awesome food and staff service; the place is a "mexican hacienda" decorated with old mexican style and its really well maintained with nice and clean bathrooms. I really recomend the "Azteca Soup" and the "Arrachera... More
