Excellent service and great prices! $60 to $120 pesos a plate for breakfast. The atmosphere is 5 stars! If you are picky about food flavors, do not try anything you are not familiar with. I love new things and this restaurant delivers on all the diverse flavors of authentic Mexican cuisine.

Stopped here for lunch - had some excellent Mexican food - tortilla soup comes with a slice of avocado and fixings and then mole poblano with chicken breast - good authentic local specialities and great service

I had a meeting with our lawyer, and have very good food without spending more than average prices! The only issue may be the location: you should be aware of the demonstrations for that day! Otherwise excellent place!

While El Morro gets a lot of press for great church's and chocolate, Their chocolate pales in comparison to El Cardinals you might not get churros but their pastries are Non-pariel. The chocolate here has a depth and richness. DOUBLE YUMM!

The restaurant is downtown so quite central. I went for a breakfast with friends and ate really well. The food is good and typical. The place is great and people nice.

My extended family and I went to El Cardenal in downtown Mexico City given it's awesome reputation... and really liked it! However: If you don't get there early (9-ish) or late (11:30+ am) for breakfast/brunch you are in for a loooong wait (we ended up being on the list for 90 mins) and were quite famished by the time we... We love going to this restaurant. It is like a trip to the past, everything is is freshly cooked. They are making Mexican fresh rolls all day long. They hot chocolate is unique, not as sweet as most other places. My favorite breakfast is the omelet. It is superbly decorated by a zucchini blossom and with a side of tamal... More

It is a mexican traditional restaurant in the heart of the city. Just a couple of blocks away from the Zocalo. This is an excellent restaurant for having your breakfast. It has a vast menu to choose from. The bread is wonderful, made fresh every morning and if you have a hot chocolate or coffee on the side you will... More

Make sure to try the chocolate milk... Even if you dont like it sweet, got to try it... Escamoles (ants eggs) are awesome, everything I've tried here is really good. Try to get a reservation if you can, it usually gets crowded. Service excel. Good place for either a nice meal with your best half, family time or business meeting.
