Sits opposite the postal palace, near Bellas artes in the Zocaloarea. Abundant staff that knows about the food they serve and how to make suggestions! Their take on different seafood such as trout, scallops and calamari is fresh and well thought out, and the presentation nice and clean! Flavours are mexican with many different types of chili, coriander and avocado,... More

The place is crowded yet is a must if you are visiting Mexico and its 'Centro Historico'. In this place you can find some of the best Mexican food. Everything I tried was good. Highly recommendable but please be patient, waiting time can be harsh specially over the weekend.

I had made a list of restaurants (based on tripadvisor reviews), with El Cardenal being right up there in the top 10 of "must eat" places. We had arrived in Mexico City only a few hours earlier and took a chance to see if we could get in to El Cardenal , Palma 23. It must have been about 3... More

Located in the central historical downtown area, we dinned here for lunch. The waiter was accommodating to note a food allergy I have. The service and food was excellent. I had a mixed salad and vegetable quesadillas. If I had known the portion sizes were so big, I would of only ordered the quesadillas. If your travel plans take you... More

From the moment you give your name to the moment when they usher you to your table in a beautiful interior, this is a magical experience that everyone should try at least once, on a par with Café de Tacuba

One of the best dining experiences we have had in the DF, and we have had some great ones. Located in the middle of Downtown, the experience tied in well with visits to nearby attractions and the local ambience.

We ate lunch here and were very impressed with the menu and the quality of the food. They have lots of authentic Mexican specialties, not the usual tacos and beans. We loved every bite. Plus it's right in the historic district.

Decent food, great service. Fun place to stop in for a late lunch on a day of touring Mexico City. Seemed about half tourists and half locals.

Terrific Mexican breakfast - went three times in a week. Great coffee and known for hot chocolate. Must go if near Zocalo.

A great place for breakfast or brunch in the Hilton Reforma Hotel. It starts with great hot chocolate (some of the best I've had), accompanied by traditional Mexican pastries and breads. Our table sampled many excellent egg dishes. I had enchiladas with eggs, potatoes, onions and a wonderful green sauce lightly. The refried beans and chips were out of those... More
