When ever I go back to Mexico I always make it a point to go here. El Cardenal offers atmosphere, service and FOOD! The menu is great and always will be. Order anything and it will surely impress and delight. Make a reservation or you will be disappointed as the restaurant is always full! A must go for all foodies... More

Usual place like that can be found in any city. It is just ok, but there is no sense to go there, nothing special.

Loved this restaurant for its classic Mexican food with a modern twist. Superb service. Abalone salad is made fresh in front of you and they have some excellent moles to choose from. Would highly recommend this restaurant!

Great food, and great atmosphere. We had two dinners there, and we tried different fish dishes. All are delicious. Portions are not huge, but plenty. Tip: instead of ordering bottled water , bring a bottle you can buy at any convince store on the street. It is much cheaper. Another tip: the restuarnt has three floors: ask to sit on... More

El Cardenal is a great opcion for breakfast, I haven't try other meausre there, but if you are looking for a mexican nice breakfast it is a great place. The nata bread is delicious. They have a nice decoration too, but you need to go early in the morning by weekeneds because otherwise you must wait outside until a table... More

Wow! We just turned up at lunchtime without a reservation and they found us a great table on the first floor with walls of coloured glass windows and white clothed tables. The menu is extensive and we were spoilt for choice for food and drink. We eventually settled on the (cheapest) bottle of Mexican Merlot - it was just 310... More

Great staff, very attentive. Went there for a late lunch and had the lamb, husband had a green chicken dish. The tortillas weren't the best i've tasted, but the bread basket was excellent!

We had a terrific meal here. The staff were very helpful & spoke excellent english. We tried the escamole (ant larva) - really delicious. We also had lamb prepared two ways - one with plenty of chilli and topped it off with a carafe of sangria. The food and service were excellent.
