Mexico city at its best

El Cardenal is 100% Mexico city food, traditional cuisine, no corners cut made the old fashioned way Typically very busy and it evolves from breakfast to lunch to dinner presentations that reflect what Mexico city has been about for centuries Will I go again: YES

Nice traditional restaurant patronized by Mexican families. Nice traditional standard Mexican food. Nice ambiance. Clean. Well served. Absolutely NOT the best in the city

This is by far one of the most recommendable restaurants in Mexico City. I have never been dissapointed!! Their freshly baked bread is a must for breakfast, but hearty lunches are great too! I prefer this location, which is the original; rather than the other two...but it is the more complicated to get to. However, the quality is the same... More

This a perfect restaurant if you wanna have a great breakfast, it has home made bread that you could eat with a hot chocolate, delicious! Also you can find traditional Mexican dishes and that's great! The price is a little up of the average, but for the breakfast it's ok!

Great place for breakfast, remains packed. Great egg based dishes. Again right near walking street in Centro historical Mexico city area. Wait time would be 10-15 min. before you get a seat.

Great food, right on a beautiful early 1600's plaza with great buildings ranging from the early 1600's right to late 1800's,literally with doorstep museums to boot.

I visited this restaurant only cause of a recommendation. We went to the branch that is located inside the Hilton hotel. I took my parents with me and we had soups and main course. I had the seafood soup and to my surprise it was nothing else but an exquisite dish. After that, we all had fish filets and it... More

This restaurant has several branches in Mexico City. All are great but the Palma address is the original. If you want to get a taste of original, no pretensions, home style Mexican food, this one of the best places I have visited. Enjoy!
