I knew El Cardenal was one of the best restaurants in Mexico City, not because food is fancy or unique, but because its quality is second to none!! Anything you order is made with the best ingredients and served exactly the way you expect... warm, fresh, etc. whatever applies. And please, please try their chocolate beverage, it's thick, creamy and... More

El Cardenal has a especial cooking method, you will find in all their restaurants the same menu, with the same flavour, no need of a Chef, the recepies have no personal alterations. So you are shure to eat the same dish in every visit. Mexican food is their especiality, excellent quality in their ingredients, many com from their own ranch.... More

I'd been going to El Cardenal for a lot of years. It's a great place to eat, with excellent service and excellent quality mexican food. Their breakfast are great and the "nata" is a must with bread.

I prefer El Cardenal location in front of Charles IV, the view from the restaurant is outstanding!! You can see in addition to the statue El Munal (you can visit this museum after your breakfast 2 in one!) ), Palacio de Mineria you are in the midst of historic and modern Mexico City. Food is terrific! Service is outstanding !... More

We Always enjoy eating delicious with good quality in any "Cardenal". The menu is varied representing some of the most representative dishes of Mexico. They have different branches and all have their own characteristics. This one in downtown is good located for someone going to the Bellas Artes, Munal, Museo Templo Mayor or the Cathedral. Highly recommended in Mexico City
