Just what we were after

Found this restaurant close to our accommodation, on Trip Advisor, and had dinner for 2 there on Monday night . As previous reviewers have said, we could have been in a bistro in France, but we were looking for a change from Mexican and for something quiet. The inside area is small and intimate... read more

We asked for the Tuna Tartare for sharing and was excellent. Then I had the Beef Carpaccio, top quality meet, at perfect temperature and delicately seasoned. For main the Pork Solomillo with Portobello Sauce, which was a true delight, super soft, juicy and delicious sauce. And the Tarte Tatin, a classic that was delicieux!!! The service was specially fine, the... More

We went to Rojo on Sunday afternoon and it was packed. The outdoor sitting is very nice on a sunny day, and the music was great! Service was very good. Their bread is very yummy and comes with special spread which was delicious. We first share the Salmon Carpacchio which was fresh and delicious, and the salad with pear and... More

Our party of 4 ate a Rojo 2 times last week in the Condesa area of Mexico City. After numerous Mexican restaurants dishes we were craving a European meal.....Steak, fish, vegetables. Reminded me of a French restaurant in the middle of Paris. Rojo Bistro delivered in all areas. Great value, atmosphere, wine list, price and above all service. 11 out... More

Excellent food. Try the duck. Onion soups was most welcome on a cold rainy night. Highly recommend it

The first time we went to Rojo we walked in off the street attacted by the cozy atmosphere, but not knowing what to expect from the food. To our surprise it was excellent. We have been back a number of times and are never disappointed. The duck confit is especially delicious as were the deserts. If you are looking for... More

First night in Mexico City. Strolled to Rojo with friends for early dinner. Sidewalk table was the perfect ambience. Cheese plate was generous and delicious. Tomato tart sublime. Duck confit done to perfection. Lentil curry soup tasty. Salad fresh and colorful. A wonderful start to a week-long food adventure!

I first went to Rojo around 4 years ago as a friend had recentley moved to DF from London. The first time I visited the food was amazing and the atmosphere and ambience was quite enticing. Looking back, it was probably as much influenced by the vibrancy of Mexico City as much as culinary excellence. Have been back around 6... More

I went for lunch a couple days before new-years with my family. The place was half-full with a cozy ambiance, but the food was very disappointing. I choose the specialties/French dishes: Onion Soup, and the Duck Confit.. both were not what I was expecting, particularly the Confit, which was rock solid and overcooked. Out of my companion’s dishes: Sopa Marroquí,... More
