Mexico City’s first and best creperie, established in 1974. Cluny is located in the heart of the historical quarter of San Angel in the south of Mexico City and housed in a grand building which was the former residence of one of the area’s wealthiest families, built in 1901 and now listed as one of the city’s historical landmarks. This location, together with an elegantly appointed décor is what gives Cluny a very romantic, cozy and inviting atmosphere, as our tables are set amongst stone & brick arches and vaulted ceilings.Over its 35+ years of existence, Cluny has increased its number of tables from 14 to 80+, now taking up almost the entire ground floor of the former residence. This expansion has also been reflected on our menu, which now not only offers traditional crepes, but also innovative and delicious seafood dishes, grilled meats, one of the city’s most famous salad bars, traditional French dishes, bread and ice creams made by our chef, and a beautiful Belle Epoque style wine bar which opened in 2003.

Nice place

Cluny is a good french restaurant. The service is good and the menu is extensive enough for some good choices.

Cluny is a nice place to pop in for a drink and light meal, a large popular restaurant with good service and fresh food. Inside or out, it is a worthwhile stop on your excursion through San Angel markets.

I have been here several times with my family .... the place is alright but the food for me is always just average, the atmosphere is OK but always loud and the price point is too high for what is on offer. Not worth it!

Dear Metrun360, Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant and provide us with your valuable feedback. We are sorry to hear that you’ve found the noise level to be excessively high during your visits, as we are regarded as one of the cozier and more romantic restaurants in southern Mexico City, which is proven by the dozens... This is in reference to Cluny Bar just in front of the creperie. I love this place. Understated jazz in the background. They will bring restaurant food in. Good selection (for Mexico) of imported beers. Great service.

When you enter the restaurant you feel as if you are in France. Service is excellent. Food is delicious, and salads bar is very complete. The ambiance is romantic, without a lot of noice, there are TV's only in one section. Vallet parking has a good service too.

Every time I go to Cluny I have a great dinner and a good time. I love to sit at the bar. The same bartender is always there and gives us great service. The food is awesome. Since I spend a lot of time in Mexico City, I enjoy being a restaurant that is different from the typical Mexican restaurant.... More
