Description: Mexico City’s first and best creperie, established in 1974. Cluny is located in the heart of the historical quarter of San Angel in the south of Mexico City and housed in a grand building which was the former residence of one of the area’s wealthiest families, built in 1901 and now listed as one of the city’s historical landmarks. This location, together with an elegantly appointed décor is what gives Cluny a very romantic, cozy and inviting atmosphere, as our tables are set amongst stone & brick arches and vaulted ceilings.Over its 35+ years of existence, Cluny has increased its number of tables from 14 to 80+, now taking up almost the entire ground floor of the former residence. This expansion has also been reflected on our menu, which now not only offers traditional crepes, but also innovative and delicious seafood dishes, grilled meats, one of the city’s most famous salad bars, traditional French dishes, bread and ice creams made by our chef, and a beautiful Belle Epoque style wine bar which opened in 2003.

Great cuisine! Wonderful dining atmosphere! The Cluny is a little piece of Paris in Mexico City. This restaurant, near the Saint Angel market, is the only one in Mexico City.

Excelent choice in Mexico City! Great food and place; the prices are ok. Worth the visit! Had the "atun indonesio", which was 'muy rico'.

While this is a fine "regular" dining restaurant, it seems the best approach is the a la carte selection of individual tasty...sometimes distinctly NOT related items...eating just because you like them, not because they particularly go together. I tried their lovely plate of salmon slices with some onion, caviar, a bit of cream cheese...not quite lox and bagels, but you... More

I am here right now finishing up a wonderful breakfast on this Sunday morning. We had to wait an hour just to be sat at a table. Wasn't too thrilled with that being that there are several options around. In regards to the food, it was great. The warm bread and fresh juice was delicious. Aside from the wait it's... More

Dear m v, Thank you for your kind words. However, we believe you have posted your review in the wrong place. Cluny opens for lunch at 12:30pm every day of the week, and we only open for breakfast when this is reserved well in advance for a private function for parties of no less than 20 people. We believe the... More

Almost 40 years ago, a grip oh young enthusiasts decided to create a restaurant with French style and good mixed style food with very nice atmosphere on an old beautiful house. Excellent combination that has lasted for years with Avery good value. You can see people from Mexico City ( this is not a tourist place) waiting almost one hour... More

Busy, well-frequented French restaurant in the San Angel section of Mexico City. The restaurnat is cozy and nicely decorated; the ambiance is cosmopolitan. The soups and crepes are recommended.

The restaurant is pretty, the atmosphere perfect for couples or dinner with friends. Best dishes... onion soup , all crepes and "sorbetes" of framboise and mango or coco and chocolate.

We went for dinner here on a Sunday night. Service was good, ambiance too. Food was nice, but not as nice as I remembered it, as I know this restaurant for years. My husband had boeuf bourguignon, it tasted more Mexican than French. I had the salad bowl, where you can have as much as you want in one serving,... More
