We got to Contramar early so we had all the waiters to ourselves and could slowly watch the place fill up. Great wine, great food - especially the Tostadas de atun!

I have been to this restaurant more times than I can count and every single time I have left with a huge smile on my face! It is the most delicious seafood in Mexico! Wonderful service! Highly recommend it

Simply excellent - you can taste the freshness of the fish in every bite - cooked in a way that conserves the moisture and the taste - this is the way fish and seafood should always be! Service by the way also excellent even on the week-ends when really crowded - this place deserves every Peso of its success!

We had a wonderful time at this power lunch Mecca in the Roma district. Among the business people there were many Americans who obviously have read about this place and flock there for the fresh seafood and refreshing cocktails. Definitely book in advance and try to get a table around 2:30 pm. Lots of energy inside, but a sidewalk table... More

The restuarant is always busy. The staff literally run around. Inside tables are very close to each other. Was fortunate to get a table outside, people watch and enjoy a delicious meal. There is a large assortment of items. Enjoyed shrimp and tuna. A nice neighborhood! Worth the visit.

Not our first visit, get there early to be seated outside and watch the world and the fashionistas pass by. The food is great, Tuna Tostadas, or shrimp or crab cakes or spaghetti with clams, or the spaghetti with tomatoes, for the children and not to mention the desserts! Huge and amazing!

This was recommended as the top seafood restaurant in Mexico City and it delivered! We went for lunch (call ahead!) because they were closed in the evening. Copped a table outside and ordered octopus, tomatoes and basil and Mahi-Mahi filets. Octopus was to die for... Dazzle of amazing virgin olive oil and spicy paprika. Fantastic sauces atop of our fish....All... More

I've enjoyed this place, it's simple looking but it does offer really good food. It's a little expensive for what they offer, but It's mexico city.
