My favourite steak tacos in the big city !

I love everything about el Farolito, there is a big selection of tacos from steak and chicken to pork carnitas. They also have a good selection of fresh squeezed fruit juices. My personal favourite are the Volcan con carne that is a crispy tortilla with cheese and steak, just add the salsa... read more

Oh. My. Gosh. I now know what a gringo I am after tasting these tacos. Totally, utterly redefines the dish. Simply fabulous. Don't be fooled by the fast food type atmosphere (I visited the location at Calle Isaac Newton 130, Miguel Hidalgo, Polanco, Polanco V Secc, 11570 Ciudad de Mexico, D.F., Mexico). The service was attentive, professional and very welcoming,... More

Since 1962 this place has been serving up the best tacos ever. Whenever I visit Mexico, I make a point of visiting! Agua de Jamaica is a fabulous hibiscus flower drink and the grilled onions are to die for

A very simple / casual place to enjoy great authentic tacos. The menu is huge with plenty of options to choose from including some vegetarian ones. Price is very affordable. Give it a try .

I ordered a few of their tacos and was very pleased with the taste and freshness of everything. The salsas were also very good. The queso fundido con chorizo was SO good. I also had an arrachera with chicharron taco and it was delicious. The pastor tacos were also great. Prices were a tad higher than I've seen in other... More

They offer high quality traditional Mexican tacos and similar dishes. One of my favorite options for tacos prepared on charcoal, can also recommend the frijoles charros and the caldo de pollo. A bit more expensive than several other but the high quality and the great flavor makes up for the higher price.

Best known for their taco al pastor, El Farolito is a longstanding local favorite. We tried the tacos al pastor (I don't get all the fuss), Chicharrón de queso (delicious cheese crisp), grilled leeks (also great), and a few other dishes. Overall, I get why it’s a favorite: it’s cheap, keeps things simple, quick service, and authentic flavors, but I... More

Having visited Mexico City many times to visit the in-laws I can say with absolute sincerity that this is THE place for good quality and genuine tacos. Admittedly, yes, they are more expensive than other taquerias, however the portions are generous and standards are very high. My personal favourite is al pastor, which is Arab influenced and despite being one... More

We loved the tacos al carbon. It was great to sit at the bar and watch the cooks work. I had the costra taco with chicken which is essentially a meat wrapped in cheese and served with flour tortillas. I would recommend. One of these is enough for lunch. I made that mistake and also ordered a chorizo taco which... More

Took forever for staff to acknowledge we were at a table and bring a menu, even though there were very few other customers. The prices were way out of line in comparison to other restaurants (with much better food) in the area. Waited 30 minutes for the food service, and when it started to come they served us one by...
