This placed its more simple that El califa in front, but personally, liked better the flavor on this tacos(El califa makes the tacos on the stove, meanwhile el farolito makes it on the grill). The sauces were very spicy and delicious. The chef or cooker, gave us complimentary sopes,we were really making compliments to him and the taqueria. We went to... More

Some of the best tacos, tortas, quesadillas, and more. Pastor is delicious. Always eat here more than once while staying in Polanco. Easy, simple, uncomplicated, affordable, and delicious. Could eat here everyday its that good. A variety to choose from. Never disappoints.

I frankly preferred al califa across the street but definitely a tasty taco. Bit overpriced since you can get really amazing street food anywhere in MC without having to worry about getting sick

Ok think tapas, great Mexican food and a small hint of Fogo de Chao (yes, I said that) at this little chain. We hit the one on Isaac Newton near the home (they say) of Carlos Slim with a person familiar with the city (aka, we felt very safe even walking the streets at night). You have to get the... More

This one did not have the "theater" aspects of El Califa across the street, but the food was fine. The servers could be a little more enthusiastic.

Had a bistec taco at the Condesa location. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly. The location has no frills, but it's clean and comfortable.

I have the privilage of spending several months in Mexico City and so far my favorite casual restaurant has to be "El Farolito Polanco (Lamartine / Newton). Their Pastor is the best in town, clean establishment and cold beer. Huaraches, faroladas and "Consome pollo" (chicken soup) are favorites also. Not the cheapest tacos but definetely some of the best
