Nothing special

Best known for their taco al pastor, El Farolito is a longstanding local favorite. We tried the tacos al pastor (I don't get all the fuss), Chicharrón de queso (delicious cheese crisp), grilled leeks (also great), and a few other dishes. Having visited Mexico City many times to visit the in-laws I can say with absolute sincerity that this is THE place for good quality and genuine tacos. Admittedly, yes, they are more expensive than other taquerias, however the portions are generous and standards are very high. My personal favourite is al pastor, which is Arab influenced and despite being one... More

We loved the tacos al carbon. It was great to sit at the bar and watch the cooks work. I had the costra taco with chicken which is essentially a meat wrapped in cheese and served with flour tortillas. I would recommend. One of these is enough for lunch. I made that mistake and also ordered a chorizo taco which... More

Took forever for staff to acknowledge we were at a table and bring a menu, even though there were very few other customers. The prices were way out of line in comparison to other restaurants (with much better food) in the area. Waited 30 minutes for the food service, and when it started to come they served us one by... I'll start by admitting that the food is all right, even though I honestly believe that the best tacos in Mexico City is found just across the street at El Califa. However my friend and I had a really bad experience ar El Farolito when we were there. A man sitting at the table next to us just out of... More

This placed its more simple that El califa in front, but personally, liked better the flavor on this tacos(El califa makes the tacos on the stove, meanwhile el farolito makes it on the grill). The sauces were very spicy and delicious. The chef or cooker, gave us complimentary sopes,we were really making compliments to him and the taqueria. We went to... More

Some of the best tacos, tortas, quesadillas, and more. Pastor is delicious. Always eat here more than once while staying in Polanco. Easy, simple, uncomplicated, affordable, and delicious. Could eat here everyday its that good. A variety to choose from. Never disappoints.

I frankly preferred al califa across the street but definitely a tasty taco. Bit overpriced since you can get really amazing street food anywhere in MC without having to worry about getting sick
