I've eaten at YUG over the past 15 years, and it's always a solid option, and good way to get a vege fix. In all the years, I've never head of someone getting sick from the food. Keep in mind that the place caters to office workers, so as I write in the headline, don't expect elegant or high tec.,... More

The food was in no way vegetarian and the quality was bad. It honestly needed a visit from Gordon Ramsey for a revamp. The waiters and staff were themselves lounging around with juice cups in their hands for themselves and occupied the corner tables. We were not served water, no one asked of anything else was needed, the bill was... More

Many visitors to Mexico who do not have the option of cooking their own food, except perhaps for the most hardcore meat eaters, will eventually desire a meal that doesn't have any meat in it. It's difficult to find in small town eateries but in the ciudad monstruo there are some vegetarian restaurants scattered around. I would have to agree... More

We had dinner and enjoyed Torta Azteca, Tacos al Pastor and Molcajete (cheese on the side for the non-vegans in our party). The food was tasty - some carnivores enjoyed the leftovers the next day. Service was good too.

I went here for breakfast several days in succession. The food was tasty and great value. You can get a fixed menu of breakfasts from around mexico or international including juice corn bread and coffee for about 60 pesos (£3) I went a couple of lunchtimes as well where you can choose from a la carte , menu of the... As a vegetarian, whenever possible I seek out a place that is strictly vegetarian (as opposed to places that cook meat and vegetables on the same cooktops). While staying in Mexico City near the Angel Tower Monument several years ago, I found YUG - and ever since then I keep going back there. Today I started another week-long trip in... More

After a few visits to Mexico City, I've learned to love this place. Located very close to El Angel de la Independencia, it's fairly easy to find. Trying to remain vegan in Mexico is not always the easiest thing to do when dining out, which makes this place a true find. The staff is a little weird.. not quite rude... More

I have been craving a good salad since I arrived in DF 3 weeks ago, and voila...this is THE place to go! They have a regular menu for the restaurant downstairs, but I opted for the buffet upstairs. I'm glad I did, although next visit I will try the regular menu, since it looked excellent as well. I enjoyed my... More

Wasn't impressed at all by the food here. The salads were very uninspiring, the quesadilla I ordered was supposed to come with stuffed squash flowers but in reality only came with cheese. The service was slow and indifferent. I really expected better. If you're vegetarian, avoid the vegetarian restaurants in DF. Go to a good restaurant and get the vegetarian... More

Since I was traveling with a vegetarian, it was helpful to find out about decent vegetarian places we could agree on. Yug was fresh and good, with plenty of options and reasonably priced. They also had very good breads and good licuado/fresh juice options.
