Reliably good food and generous portions

Dropped in solo for delicious Chiapan coffee and a really good and huge slice of carrot cake for a mid-afternoon treat. Gabriel provided excellent service and was extremely personable and attentive. I made a reservation for later for dinner for 2 and when we arrived we asked if our table could be... read more

Belmondo is very good. However it used to be better. Quality has gone down. Nevertheless its selection of sandwiches and salads is excellent amd everything is presented nicely. Service is good and there is a good selection of wines.

I ate at Belmundo tonight with a friend who was a loyal customer. We both live in the neighborhood. I had read the bad reviews for service there posted on several websites, but that isn't something I usually worry about. But wow was I wrong to discount those reviews. To drink with my meal, I ordered "vino tinto de la... More

I ate at Belmondo in the Polanco area. The sandwiches were enormous and delicious. I ordered the French fries on the side. I love that at Belmondo the sandwiches are the stars not the sides. I had the roasted vegetable panini and my friend had the grilled cheese. We split each sandwich. The grilled cheese was amazing! Edam cheese with... More

Very busy place but never had to wait long for a table, a bit pricey but best sandwiches in mexico city. Great bread, great meat, great everything. I tried several & they're all fab. Free pickled veggies & water. English spoken. Cons: Mediocre coffee & slow service.

Lovely chi chi little sandwich and salad shop with a full licence. Perfect for a weekend lunch. I had the crispy chicken sandwich with beetroot and coleslaw. Chips were tasty, but pretty salty. Service fine. Wine pleasant. Definitely worth a look if you are in the neighbourhood...

Good sandwiches in a decent atmosphere. I had the baguette with meatballs. Was very good. had a side of bolognese sauce for dipping and 6 French fries. Price is fine for what they serve. The problem is the service. just awful. More than anything, non existent. 10 minutes to get a menu. Another 5 to see if you wanted to... More

The food is good as always, and the house drinks to die for... but seems that they will never improve in service areas... a shame. This can be an excellent review rather than average just for the lack of service,

Warm atmosphere and good service. I had a delicious cazuela with eggs, spinach, bacon and cream. The pancakes were good, but since the kitchen put the syrup on themselves I ran out of syrup long before I ran out of pancakes...so they were pretty dry. I think they need to give you a little jar of syrup as well. The... More
