Starting with the hand sanitizing gel from the moment you sit down the service is impeccable in this place. On top of that the food is consistent and tasty traditional Mexican food. Good coffee. Fresh squeezed juices. My favorite plate for breakfast is arrachera (steak) with chilaquiles (corn tortilla "chips" bathed in a green tomato sauce with cream and fresh... More

I have not found many good places for great quality and authentic Mexican food but this restaurant fulfills this category. Good service and great food. Mostly for locals and good to visit whether it is a family, couple, friends or business gathering. Though, certainly you will need to wait to get a table, it's always crowded.

I was eager to experience real mexican food in this highly rated place. I went to the one in San Angel which is one of their biggest locations. Place is ok- it's a huge villa, could be better decorated. For a non Spanish speaker, it's not easy to find a waiter than can communicate in English. We ordered a selection... More

Three of us had a great lunch. I had the European Sea Bass which was well prepared. Try the ant eggs which my host jokingly referred to as Mexican caviar. Interesting local delicacy. The finer touches like the very crisp fresh bread round off a good meal. Attentive people, really good menu, and a place worth having a meal at.

The most-often listed restaurant on all the travel sites for classic and classy Mexican food. This is the newest branch, a huge former Italian restaurant in San Angel. We had a family meal around a huge square table in a private room. After a slew of appetizers (more cuitlacoche anyone?) we dug into their main courses, mostly various behemoth cuts... More

It's easy to see why this restaurant is so popular, it's absolutely lovely. We had breakfast here twice and both times everyone at the table loved their meal. The hot chocolate is delicious and so is the fresh bread. The omelette with ant eggs isn't very exciting but it's worth having to say you ate ant eggs. The escamoles on... More

We went for a late lunch before leaving the country that evening. It is a classy and elegant restaurant, tastefully decorated, with gorgeous flower arrangements. The service was impeccable. As for the food, it is certainly one of the best meals we've had. The "ceviche" was perfect, with a subtle flavour. The prawn salad was equally fresh and subtle. For... More

We visited the latest location in San Angel. Good fresh made pastries and hot-chocolate. An expensive choice for breakfast, when we went there, go early to avoid the wait. Elegant interior, bustles with groups having breakfast. Can not say regarding lunch or dinner, however the service was first-rate. A splurge
