A Bistrot where you will indulge with great creations

Whether you like fish, steak or pork, this is the place to be at Colonia Roma. Just make sure you book a reservation with plenty of time. Seriously, more than a week in advance. Not doing this will refrain you from getting a table at this fantastic Bistrot, and unable to enjoy the fantastic... read more

"A good chef has to be a manager, a businessman and a great cook. To marry all three together is sometimes difficult."- Using Wolfgang Pucks quote is optimal in explaining the deficiencies in the business of whom, a great majority of friends and family argue, is a fantastic chef. I have found Maximo, twice, to be lacking. I reserve qualifying... More

We had good, but way over-priced food which we would've enjoyed had they not charged us twice for our already expensive meal even after we noticed and asked them to rectify their mistake of charging us 100% of the bill as a tip! The manager apologized and said the previous credit card charge had been cancelled, and brought me a... More

I am perplexed as to why Maximo is not rated higher. Fantastic food--well prepared, simple presentations with great flavor. The restaurant has a great vibe and is not pretentious. Haven eaten at both, I prefer Maximo over Pujol any day.

The best meal I have had in a long time. Portions were modest but even so we left feeling too full after a terrific three course meal. The menu had more than a few selections that were GF. I'm not sure if someone with celiac would be o.k. but with a profound allergy to gluten I was completely fine. The... More

The best restaurant I've been to in Mexico City. Maybe not the most adventurous menu but everything is cooked perfectly and the attention to detail is amazing.

I ate lunch at Maximo twice during a three week trip to the DF. If you are looking for traditional Mexican fare, this is not your place. If you are looking to spend 100 pesos for a meal, this is not your place. If you are looking for creative modern cuisine in a relaxed but elegant setting, this is your... More

I have lived in DF for almost a year and a half and tried many restaurants. This is my all time favorite!! There is no better place to get a steak than here. Their wine list is very reasonable and appetizers are divine (our favorite is the ceviche). You absolutely must call to make a reservation or don't bother trying... More

I loved my experience here. My best meal in Mexico City. Everything was cook to perfection and each part complimented the whole experience. A Sense of joy and wellbeing followed the meal. This is what eating should be too bad it is not a daily experience. Excellent value.

Great location in the trendy Roma Norte district. Lovely decor inside and very friendly staff. The food, especially for the price, was simply amazing. A modern take on traditional Mexican cuisine. The waiter brought up little appetisers on the house which was a really nice touch. I had the Red Snapper which was cooked in a slightly spicy curried sauce.... More
