Unique and fresh food are served here. However the tight seating and long queue, unfortunately can make the dining experience challenging since it can be loud at peak hours. Otherwise a nice restaurant overall.

I am a solo female business traveler and frequently dine alone. I couldn't get a reservation for 1 here so I just showed up. I sat at the beautiful upstairs bar for a while, had some tasty drinks carefully prepared by a most charming human and patiently waited for a cancellation/noshow. I waited less than an hour and was rewarded... More

Beautiful steamed mussels, excellent duck breast, succulent roast baby pork, and flawless cheescake made with goat cheese. A little pricy, lots of attitude from staff and patrons but worth it. Reservations are a must day or night.

After attempting to try this restaurant twice, we were finally seated after an hour and a half wait. Reservations are only excepted until 1.30pm which is slightly earlier then the normal lunchtime in Mexico. I believe that the long waiting time is due to the fact that the restaurant has only about fifteen tables and the diners linger there for... More

Recently had dinner at Maximo Bistrot based on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. The place is minimalistic and I loved the open kitchen. Service was very attentive yet not intrusive. The real star is the food though: Appetizers were amazing, from mussels, to Hamachi to Soup everything tasted superb. Mains were also very well prepared and delicious. Beef... More

My Mexican friend brought me here to this place in Colonia Roma for a special meal the night before I was scheduled to leave Mexico City. We arrived with a reservation and got a small table for two. The lighting was very subdued with candles providing most of the illumination. I could not see the menu easily (black ink on... More

I visited Maximo Bistro to have dinner with the family to celebrate my wife´s birthday. We were pretty excited to visit the restaurant since I have tried several times to get a reservation but unfortunately they are always packed. The restaurant is located in la Roma which is an up and coming hip neighborhood in Mexico City, the look and... More

this reminds me of the local restaurant in my neighborhood on Columbus avenue nyc. tables too close together fast food service, if you can get a table.the difference is my neighborhood restaurant doesnt take reservations, and this bistro doesnt honor them. that is if you dont mind sitting outside under a plastic curtain in the cold weather, then they will... We have had the pleasure of eating at Maximo Bistrot previously, and loved it once again. We arrived, looking like drowned rats in the pouring rain - gasp - without a reservation. The maitre'd kindly seated us, and we had an amazing meal. The chicken was perfection in crispy skin with moist chicken breast. the scallops were tender and delicious... More

We have been going to the Maximo Bistrot for the past year and every time the food is outstanding and so is the service Try the eggplant spread with the baguette, you'll want to get some home. The hamachi was one of the best I have tried, the beet salad to die for. As our main course we had the... More
