Order the muscles for sure! The sauce was garlic buttery, rich with a hint of white wine. We ordered extra bread just for that. Loved their signature cocktails as well.

We booked a table at Maximo Bistrot Local after reading about it in our Lonely Planet book and on Tripadvisor. The reviews were not wrong. The place is small and quaint but the service was excellent and the food second to none! Absolutely outstanding, would definitely recommend it!

This place is always booked way in advance so our expectations were quite high! And we were not disappointed! We were shown a table outside surrounded by plastic walls and heaters which was a bit of a surprise! But we had no problem as it was quite warm and we knew we are a lively group and would no doubt... This is a place not to be missed; definitely one of the very best in Mexico City. Maximo is located in La Condesa, one of the trendiest places to go. You have to make a reservation in advance because it is always crowded. About the food, menu is daily changed depending on the market best for the day. My wife... More

The best salad I've had in Mexico City (vegetarian)! All the other dishes we tried were excellent also! Extensive drink options, but small, yet eclectic menu of the chef's fresh offerings just for that day. Service was above par and setting is relaxing away from any hustle and bustle.

My husband and I were in Mexico City during the week between Christmas and New Years, when many restaurants were closed, and I had thought Maximo Bistrot would be, too, as I hadn't been able to make a reservation. Lucky for us to find that they were open, and if you show up right when they open for dinner service,... More

One of the best meals my partner and I had on a recent trip to Mexico City. This is an outstanding example of Italian/Mexican fusion. Everything about this restaurant was fantastic, from the quality of ingredients to the service and ambiance. Their homemade pastas deserve a special shout-out. Make reservations or else you may have to wait at the bar... More

We were visiting Mexico city seeing the sights and eating wonderful food. We stayed in an airbnb, our host recommend maximo. We had rocket salads mains and awesome desserts plus a tasty cava sparkling wine. Service was professional. We would definitely go back

For a restaurant of this quality (and matching price) the dining room was surprisingly informal- plain wooden tables chairs and benches. But the food is great and the service too which is why the locals pack it. MB is known for using French techniques with Mexican foods. My impression was more that they incorporated a few French ingredients and even... More
