Excellent restaurant in Terminal 2 of Mexico City's airport

If you want to try some really good Spanish food don't miss it. You won't be disappointed. Every time I land at this airport I try to go there.

Very friendly staff. Menu has plenty of choices from small plate to soup to salad to seafood to meat. Lentil soup is so delicious. I would suggest order to share. Salted fish is good but it's an acquired taste. Grilled octopus is excellent and soft if you like octopus. Pork taco is one of th best ever. Great choice a... More

I ate at Casa Avila several times and I get upset when I don t have enough time to eat there. I always had good food there. The calamari is always my first choice. It is served with 3 different sauces all excellent. The tuna is excellent. I have sent friends there and apparently the Oslo bucco is also great.... More

this restaurant is in Terminal 2 of the Mexico City airport. Usually, I do not associate airport dining with good places but this is definitively a good choice. All dishes were very good, particularly the roasted piglet (cochinillo asado). The Spanish potato cake was also very good. The white wine was a little on the weaker side but overall this... More

I have been eating here 4 times over the years. Service is absolutely comparable to the one of a city Restaurant. Menù has a large-enough variety of options. You're quickly served, no doubt. I always enjoyed, but this time a clam with awful smell was served to a colleague -strange that they didn't notice it in the kitcken. Also, I... More

Went here more on hope than expectation as good dining in airports is not our norm. Reality however was a triumph. Very good Spanish menu. Fast service. Paella was very good. Likewise croquettes. Good value. Authentic setting. Rate highly.

This gem is hidden on the floor below the airport Hilton - which means convenient. The waiters could not be more gracious - they speak enough English but remember this is Mexico. The food is well prepared. Great place for a business meeting. Reasonably price. If you don't know South American wines, allow them to select. The Hilton itself is... More

Rumor had it that when dawdling about at the Mexico City airport, a fine meal could be had at Casa Avila. Airport food? Bleary-eyed travelers wolfing down a Sbarro's pizza while trundling to a boarding line? Na-uh. Well, Liz and I had six hours to kill and had the requite bleary eyes after a red-eye from TJ. What we experienced... More

If you have enough time between connecting flights, the Casa Avila restaurant is the best option you have without leaving the airport. With a very good service, and a great kirchen, you will not be disappointed. All food is excellent, but the duck and the "paella" are easly the best main courses in the menu. Enjoy!
