I was invited by Mexican friend who recommended this restaurant as very good Mexican place and it was indeed by all means. Great food, great drinks, great service (as long as you speak Spanish). There are at least 4 bands of mariachi playing different instruments from various part of Mexico. The food is from west-south part of Mexico, great stuffed... More

Great service and excellent food. The dishes are varied and very well served. The menu has an option for every budget but the star of this restaurant are the "Toritos". A tipical drink from the state of Veracruz wich consists of a fresh fruit mixed with alcohol. You can choose from all kinds of flavors like lemon, pineapple, guanabana, peanut... More

Finding a great mexican restaurant in Mexico City is no easy task. This restaurant has been around for a long time with little change in the quality of the food. It is pure mexican food from all over Mexico. If you only have time for lunch or dinner, then try something with mole. It is usually served with turkey and... More

They are great hosts and prime for the little presentation of folkloric dances. Dancers have charisma and do their job as they should. Decor is simple, but effective. Music is mexican and their Mariachis do not bother you if you are not into their music. This said, entertainment is their strongest quality. About the food, hummmm, I rather just say... More

A traditional restaurant, fairly priced, with very good cuisine typical of central Mexico. Good service. From their Enchiladas to mondongo. Be adventuresome. You'll enjoy the experience!

La Fonda del Recuerdo not only serves terrific authentic mexican dishes, it does so in an atmosphere of entertainment and fun, in a traditional setting. Roaming bands of musicians offer a variety of entertainment options. The food is abundant and delicious, and sometimes just a variety of appetizers leaves you more than satisfied. We also took advantage of their special... More

I called the restaurant at 7pm and made a reservation at 8:30pm that day. I asked the person who took my reservation how long it would take me and he said an hour. When I arrived, at 8:10pm, the restaurant was closed. They told me the person who confirmed my reservation made a mistake and there was nothing they could... More

The food is outstanding! The excellence in service and the dancers, musicians and specially I loved the bird that gave me my lucky paper. I have been into other mexican restaurants and this is my favorite, chiles en nogada are outstanding as well as the octopus tacos!
