Excellent seafood and fish in front of Mexico City's best hotel zone

My personal favorite is the live oysters. Super fresh as all seasoned with lime and habanero sauce (optional) you should also try the ceviches and the delicious Marlin Tacos. This place has amazing fresh food and good drink to-boot. We ordered the Ceviche 'sampler' and enjoyed the creative combinations. Good value, bright, cheery and low-key. Enjoy!!

We stayed in the Polanco area, and were having a rough time finding something that wasn't super expensive. Not that I'm opposed to fine dining, but that's not what we were in the mood for. After some digging around, we found this place and it sounded perfect. It was pretty quiet when we got there, around 8pm or so, just... More

Agua y Sal has a great vibe and an attentive staff. I was greeted at the door and sat down to a very unique menu with unexpectedly imaginative dishes. Even though I had read the menu before visiting the restaurant and I love ceviche, I was surprised by the dishes and their variety. The chef uses distinctive salts from all... More

This restaurant, located in the tourist trap part of town in Polanco, is surprisingly good. They have a wide variety of ceviches, from traditional, to sweet, to hot and spicy. If you go there with a group, I would recommend you order a few different ones from the menu and just share them. Just remember it is in Polanco, so... More

Excellent assortment of cerviches! Try them all and ask the waiter to bring each, so that tastes start light then progress spicier (like starting with light before heavy wine). More Western dishes for seafood guppies include: fish and chips OR seafood burger. Both entrees are huge and could be shared if not too hungry.

Innovative Mexican seafood. You will find a mix between the traditional mexican seafood and new era of cousine. You will enjoy all of them. Try to choose several type and share with your friends

Much Ado about Nothing. My Dorado was too salty and my friend´s Huachinango at Pibil very dissapointing. The place looks like a low level restaurant and they charged me twice with my credit card.

This was my third time eating at Aguya y Sal and my experience was just as high as for my first one. Rodrigo and his team are friendly and most helpful, speaking English and helping to translate the menu and explaining the ingredients in some of the dishes. the food itself is a mix of Mexican and worldly fusion, combining... Across the street from 2 major hotels. Primarily catering to tourists. English speaking staff and menu. Very good food. Prices are pretty high comparing to other Mexican restaurants, but not high by American major city standards. It's a good way for American tourists to ease their way into Mexican cuisine.
