Good spot to have breakfast

Located in the historic district of Mexico City. They open at 09:00am, which is quite late. We had breakfast on a Sunday morning and we arrived at the opening. We got seated and while we were ordering they were getting out the garbage, which is certainly not the best timing for that. They have a... read more

Went here on our last day for a change from hotel breakfast as it was just next door to the Ciudad de Mexico Hotel - delicious pastries, gorgeous coffee and great service. Good prices too - a cross between an American diner and a French patisserie! Worth a visit!

Good and fast service (B/fast). This is a small cafe almost next to Gran Hotel Ciudad Mexico. Quick and good.

Friendly sweet barista's working efficiently and precisely as to how you like your coffee in the morning...I sit at the front bar area on the tall stools and enjoy my vaso pequeño of cappuccino forte for just Pesos 18...half the price of all the 'famous' cafes in Zocalo In Mexico City and way quicker service. These are hard working and... More

There are several of these cafes in Mexico city and they are all busy. I absolutely loved the translations of some of the egg dishes. They've got great names like "eggs to the bricklayer, eggs divorced, eggs with it mashes" but they don't then describe (in English or spanish) what is actually on the dish so it's an exciting lottery!... After a busy night out in Mexico D. F. we just wanted some coffee and a light breakfast. This place was a great find. Lots of coffee choices, lots of tables, lots of servers and if you venture to the back there are couches to relax and sip. Will go again next time I'm in Mexico D. F.

Perfect for a morning tea stop after all the walking! There are several outlets of Bertico, easiest to find on Madero. A capucchino costs just 16 pesos, and they have delicious pastries to go with it. Friendly service too.

Just finished a very nice breakfast at Bertico. Don't let the appearance deceive you. This place is great or breakfast. My sausage and cheese omelette was served with pickled jalepenos on the side, a big cup of perfectly brewed coffee, and a generous helping of bread rolls with butter and jam. Everything was excellent, and super cheap! About 55 pesos... More

We ended up eating here twice after first discovering the place one night. It was packed with people, always a good sign to me. We had both lunch and dinner there and the food was delicious and the prices exceptionally reasonable. It was very busy both times we visited and the food did take a while to get there, but... More
