Good enough for a fair price

I wouldn't say this a place to have real Italian food, although the name of the place suggests it. But I must say we did enjoy a light dinner at Osteria 8. The place is tiny, which for me is a plus, as it usually ensures a better service, like this time. We had a Jamón Serrano pizza. I had... read more

We were surprised by some of the recent posts about Osteria 8. Came back to Mexico City after over a year away and had to return to one of our favorite restaurants. It was wonderful, as always. Had the enslada de mozzarella and the sausage pizza. Amazing! So fresh. The service was great. So accommodating. Will return again and again... More

I have been to Osteria 8 close to 10 times since it opened. I really want to like this place (and in the beginning I really did), but with each visit, I like it less and less. Normally when you arrive you are provided with the specials of the day and then some freshly grilled/baked pizza dough slices. Two visits... More

We've wanted to visit this place in our hood for some time (reading Nick Gilman, Trip Advisor, etc)and we finally did today. After having lunch here today, I'm shocked at all the positive reviews. Certainly the ambiance is nice, but the food is really rather average. We ordered a salad romano and 2 pasta dishes. The salad was ICE BERG... More

As you arrive to this little place, you may think you have the wrong adress, because is just a little local with a few tables inside and a couple more on the sidewalk. But this place, is awsome. The food is great, the bread is great, the service is neat, and the prices are low. Ask for the menu specials,... More

Words cannot describe how much my partner and I enjoyed eating at this little Italian restaurant. What a find! When we first arrived, we nearly missed it and were the only ones there. However, I am pleased I overcame my usual attitude of not trying places when no-one else is in them as it would have been a regret! We... More

I travel all around the world, and when I find myself in Mexico City I make a point to come to Osteria Ochco for the friendly service, and excellent italian food (the pasta and pizza cant be beat in the area! try the pizza with the prosciutto). I have spent countless hours enjoying the coziness of this restaurant, (sure it... More

Suffering from extreme jet-lag and a touch of altitude, we set off for Osteria 8 without any great expectations. If nothing else, we hoped the long drive through heavy traffic might help us sleep. On arrival, we were initially informed that there was no chance of a table without a reservation. However, our palpable dejection persuaded the owner's wife to... More
