This is a restaurant with no fancy or pretentious decoration, everything seems like a "normal" place but everything changes right away you taste your first dish... you will say "this is DELICIOUS" and of course you will want to try everyone's dishes and it will be almost the same reaction. The Chef is very attentive and goes to ask if... More

Nicos manages to make everything feel quite special. Come for lunch - we were the first ones there with our 1pm OpenTable reservation, and the restaurant quickly filled up with a steady stream of Mexico City folks on lunch break for one or two, or having family reunions with eight people. The food is served slowly, with much care. Make... More

Pork Belly, guacamole made at the table, rabbit...and more....it was all wonderful, authentic and so special. Atmosphere is very casual. We had fabulous service. Plenty of fresh water with lemon to drink for free. Worth traveling to go here. We had a lovely stroll through the park afterwards.

Nothing authentic about our meals. Because something is overpriced does not mean it is good. The service was just as bad. The food that should have been cold was room temperature and the what was supposed to be hot was very cold. Not impressed at all. Will not visit again

West to downtown Mexico in the pathway of the historical escape to Tacuba of Cortes from Mexica, close to The historical "árbol de la noche triste" ...."The sad nigth tree", ....some blocks ahead from Cuitlahuac Subway (Name of an emperor brother to Moctezuma,The only one who won a battle to spanish conquerors). There you can find this place...Nicos... I knew... More

This is the best place to have real and authentic Mexican food. It is all cooked with organic and fair trade ingredients. Everyday there is a special section that you will adore. Lunch or breakfast Nico's will sure make you a happy person

1) Don´t draw conclusions of what you see. The place is modest but you will eat better than most fancy restaurants in London, Paris or NY (I have been around a little). Believe me, the menu looks normal but the flavor you will find, are the result of a careful planning and execution of traditional family mexican food. 2) Make... More

I went here for the chiles en nogada and I was not disappointed. They were huge and exquisitely prepared ... the other breakfast food was also excellent. The service was top notch and very friendly. The austere setting does not matter ... if you are looking for spot on, top end Mexican cuisine in the DF this place is highly... More
