Of all the Argentine steak houses in Condesa, this is easily my favorite

I eat there all the time, and every time I go to another steak house in Condesa, I regret not having just gone back to Escarapela. Back from a long trip to California ... decided to try an old favorite in the Condesa ... It still has the same big, quality cuts of Argentine meat ... in addition the salads and wine selection are pretty decent as well. If you are willing to be a little cramped as this place is tiny than I highly recommend... More

This Argentine restaurant is a good place to get freshly baked empanadas and pizzas, and of course juicy steaks. Look carefully for this tiny restaurant, right next to Cueva de Leon Taco Restaurant on Nuevo Leon and Laredo in Condesa. Although the service was a little slow, the romantic atmosphere is a great place to sit back with a glass... More

It's a little cozy place, usually packed and worth the wait. Wine is good and cheap, and the food is great. Whether you enjoy a empanada (i recommend Humita) or a beef cut (Bife de chorizo would be my choice), it's a great place to enjoy with your friends or couple. After the meal, a good walk around the condesa... More

This place took my attention since from the outside you can get the most wonderful aromas as you pass by. In addition, it is always packed with people which to me works as a guarantee for good food. Although cozy, in its particular crammed way, I was kind of disappointed by the food. I ordered a meat "empanada" for starters,... More

We had a fantastic Argentine parrillada at Escarepa. The meat is delicious and the place is very cool - it is small (perhaps 10 tables) and tight, but the vibe is great. A dinner for four, with two bottles of wine and one desert (a huge pancake with dulce de leite that could easily be divided among four) was less... More
