Wonderfully decorated restaurant with an impressive terrace, perfect for any private event, very good service. Pisco sour is good, ceviche not bad but a few dishes my group tried were not amazing. I guess because the restaurant is so impressive you expect the food to be amazing too.....I would definitely try it out but don't expect too much.

I visited Astrid y Gaston with a native of Lima, who was familiar with that location and thus very eager to share the experience. The restaurant itself is quite lovely, and the initial service formal and well executed. However, past the first cocktails (excellent) and ceviche (good), everything went downhill. Regarding the food, the overall impression was one of overwhelming,... More

We went to Astrid y Gaston for Valentines Day and had a lovely time. The ceviche was the best, very flavorfull. I had mahi mahi which was also excellent. The atmosphere was lovely as we were on the terrace near the fireplace. But the best part of the evening was the service.....I have never had such perfect service. From the... More

Astrid y Gaston in Mexico City is one of the best restaurants in town. It follows the excellence of the original in Lima, Peru, however with a more up-scale atmosphere. The service is fantastic - probably one of the best I've ever experienced - and the food is delicious. From start to finish it's an incredible experience. Best of all,... More

Where er you go to A&G you know you are to have a great experience! First time in this restaurant which is located in best area of Mexico city. The moment you arrive the valet service takes care of your car - typical nightmare in this populated city- and you go into a big restaurant but with a cosy atmosphere... More

I was taken here by people who knew what they were doing. From the second I sat down at the bar, I was drawn in by the skills and presentation of the beautiful and creative cocktails by Aaron. All of the bartenders treated their drinks as works of art and they tasted that way too. The flavors were incredible and... More

Well appointed second floor facility on the corner of Masaryk and Tennyson in the Polanco area of the Federal District. Comfortable seating and first rate service. Certain fish dihes were unavailable, such as snapper, which was a disappointment. Otherwise, very good pisco sours and nice dessert menu.. My preference remains Astrid & Gaston in Peru.

There are a number of AyG's, but the experience was elegant and the Peruvian-based cooking was excellent. Service was wonderful.

The swanky suburb of Polanco is full of good and not so good restaurants, but Astrid Y Gaston did not disappoint. This Mexican branch of a Lima-based small chain of Peruvian restaurants is located in a large and very well decorated series of spaces. Service was very attentive but not so intrusive that it was embarrassing. A wonderful selection of... More

The food is well executed and there are some tasty dishes like the ceviche. But overall can't help but think that the menu lacks ambition. Dishes were pretty basic without the flare that I expect in high end dining throughout the world. Also wine list is pretty limited by the glass (only two wines available). Service also sub standard for... More
