Good variety but quality has deteriorated through time

A few years back the cuisine was much better than today. You still get a good sample of Mexican Food, beyond what most tourists may experience in their places of origina and is tagged as Mexican food :) ... Drinks and Ambiance are very good.. but would like to see the quality I have experienced... read more

If you know Spanish, try to avoid reading sexist sayings plastered all over the walls that pass for ambiance. Over our table it said, my wife lost 5 kilos because she gave up makeup. Try also not to get offended by the Botero painting of a big bottomed woman in the toilets. In men's urinal a saying: you are holding... More

Being here several times and always a great experience. Obviously better during week end evenings. Service is excellent and here you can taste some typical Mexican dishes that you won't find anywhere in the Polanco area. e.g. Huitlacoches or authentic Mole Poblano. Fully recommended and prices are resonable.

We had a great dinner wit a bunch of business collegues. If you want to have good conversation, make sure you sit upstairs where the music is not too loud. The group ordered a number of appetizers and entrees and all were enjoyed. The Tamarindo margarita is certainly something to consider, and for the adventourous, try the escamole.

I visited this place with my wife and two friends from Canada. The moment our margaritas arrived (margaritas are the place's trademark), my friends were wowed. They are huge! The food is tourist-friendly (not too spicy, a bit bland) but the drinks alone paid off. Visit Villa María, order the Jamaica or Tamarindo margarita, and enjoy the mariachi music (it... More

Villa Maria is a little touristy, the food is gourmet Mexican, I found the food quality and the taste, just "ok." I had the Mole Steak, it was very tough and chewy, the sauce lacked the mole flavor. With that said, the drinks are fantastic.

I went into this knowing it is a tourist restaurant so enjoyed the somewhat boisterous atmosphere. The music was excellent, but expect it to be pretty loud. If you want to have a conversation during dinner ask to be seated away from where the musicians are located. The food was good and the service was good. I thought the giant... More

Must have a margarita, try the Queso Fundido and the staff are amazing. The Restaurant has a unique feel to it with the little quotes everywhere.

Villa María was one of my favorite places here in my city. However, I went to have some dinner with friends last Saturday, January 24th. The dishes were terrible, the service bad and the guys in the valet parking stole my daughter's credit card from her car. Her purse was there, "hidden", and even though it's a terrible idea to...
