Villa María was one of my favorite places here in my city. However, I went to have some dinner with friends last Saturday, January 24th. The dishes were terrible, the service bad and the guys in the valet parking stole my daughter's credit card from her car. Her purse was there, "hidden", and even though it's a terrible idea to... This is a tourist restaurant but the food is very good and the prices reasonable. The menu has a wide variety of Mexican dishes and service is very efficient. The evening begins with a Jarocha group (music from Veracruz) followed by quite a decent Mariachi Band. This is a terrific place to take visitors that want a taste of Mexican... More

I was so excited to take my husband who had never been to Mexico to a good Mexican restaurant with some (tacky but) good Mariachi music. We were recommended this place by our hotel concierge. It's a big restaurant with a decent menu, full of traditional Mexican dishes. Cons: - guacamole was one of the least tasty I've had in... More

There is nothing terrible special about this restaurant. The food is fine, though our dishes were very salty. At best it is a gimmicky setting that gives a flavour of Mexican cuisine and mariachi music but both lacked authenticity. All this would have been fine had we received even one smile from the staff. They were unwelcoming, lacked warmth and... More

We were taken there by a Mexican family- the place was great, huge margaritas and very nice food, accompanied by singing Mariachis. it was quite packed but they managed to accomodate us - a group of 12 people! it probably attracts quite some tourists but for sure it is one of the best places we went. Price was I would... More

Good food with an amazing environment. The margaritas are a good option for those wishing to try something new. Food wise , the tlacoyos are the winners. The place is so cool that a visit is worth it even if it is only to take some pics :)

Very pleasant place with typical Mexican music by the mariachis. Very good food in a nice environment with good wine and beautiful people. Friendly staff with good service.

Went there with a friend and had a nice dinner and fantastic Margaritas. The Mariachi band was enjoyable the service attentive. All in all a very nice experience. Try the "big" Margarita - it's almost as big as German beer stein.

First, the food and service are excellent, ambience is great! There is a mariachi band playing during the evening. Best place I've eaten in Mexico!
