Excellent food and great mexican environment.

Great restaurant, if you come to Mexico City as a tourist is a most. I am mexican and the food they have here is one of the best, i recommend the pollo con mole and the chocolate cake. Definitly a good restaurant for the whole family.

Clean and well done atmosphere (for "Mexico" feel) including live music. Food selection is good but not as interesting as I've had elsewhere. Not bad, just Ho hum. Service was over avg which was good for our business lunch.

I'm not a food snob by any means. I enjoy simple foods just as much as haute cuisine. I was with a group of 25 people and not one raved about their food. The giant margaritas were fun, overly sweet and under tequila'ed. We were given two choices, either meat or chicken. The meat was quite tasty, the chicken was... More

Excellent, correct preparation of traditional Mexican specialties in a lovely, gracious setting. There is an embarrassingly effusive review pasted to the front door from the NY Times calling it "the greatest Mexican food in the world". No. Not as long as El Cardenal-Reforma (and probably others) exist, but it IS good. Expensive, but for Polanco, reasonably-priced. Watch out for the... More

We had a group dinner here, with tasting most of the dishes and drinking a lot of taquila and beers. The service was super fast and friendly. The food was good, quite adjusted to the western taste, but coming from all parts of Mexico. The atmosphere was great with mariachi band walking around the tables. I would have gone there... More

I absolutely loved my time touring Mexico and had some fabulous food during the 3 weeks there and delicious margaritas. But neither were good in Villa Maria. The margaritas were more about size/quantity rather than quality. I love margaritas and had some fabulous ones in Mexico - these were just OK. We were with a tour group so had no... More
