Great but expected more

The bar was set high due to the reputation and ranking of the place. Only complaint (minor one) was 3 different servers each provided different explanations on how the menu was organized. Aside from that, service was great - always someone there ready. We had multiple courses - all were fantastic... read more

I am very sad about writing this review, due Biko was virtually my favorite restaurant in Mexico City and possibly top 5 worldwide. While food remains being awesome, service quality have dropped to the lowest standards I have seen in this range of restaurants. Last time I visit with +6 friends, no one explain menu as they usually did in... More

I have been to many restaurants on Mexico DF. I heard a lot about this restaurant. So far, it was a waste of money and time. Decoration is awful. Service is slow. Food is limited by some dishes with some fancy names. Very limited menu if you dont eat seafood. I do not recommend it to any of my friends.... More

No surprise, given the notices, but we felt Biko lived up to them. Our menu choices pulled from the traditional menu as well as the modern interpretations and everything had flair but also tasted wonderful. Lots of imagination, but none of the silliness that sometimes creeps into the new Basque cuisine. It also helped that the wine list includes a... More

The chefs in Biko not only master the art of cooking with impeccable technique, they go far beyond, they cook with the soul. I had the pleasure to visit the restaurant with a group of colleagues, and we tried most of the menu "lo de antes" is just delightful and "lo de hoy" is impressive. It is not frequent that... More

BIKO sits at number 6 in San Pellegrino's 2014 World's 50 Best Restaurants in Latin America and number 59 in the entire world. The romantic, yet modern vibe and outrageously creative Basque inspired dishes certainly explain why it has made this list. Here is a complete assessment by me... a person with a mediocre pallet yet a strong fervor for... More

My best friend and I were really looking forward to Biko after our underwhelming dinner the night before at Quintonil (and since we missed our dinner at Pujol due to my friend's delayed flight!). Biko was outstanding--and clearly one of the world's best. I've been to almost half now of the world's top restaurants, and our dinner at Biko definitely... More

We were looking forward to dining her on our recent trip to Mexico City. We were very disappointed. They don't have an English menu and the waiter never offered to translate anything for us, even though he knew that we couldn't understand much of the Spanish/Basque language mixture. My husband couldn't see his menu at all in the dark and... More

We selected the seven course tasting menu. Grey seems to have been the color of the evening, as almost everything on the plate was grey or a shade of grey. The fois gras was grey. The tuna was grey/pink. The pork was grey/white. There was no hearty meat included at all. The amuse-bouches was cream cheese piped into a pastry.... More

Biko has been among world's best restaurants for several years. May be because its trend of repeat chef Adriá's El Bullí. I went to celebrate my girlfriend birth. Ambience is sophisticated, service not enough good, specially of its Manager which ego is High. You can order a tasting menú or a selection of the dishes. We went for the dishes.... More
