Very good although expensive

This is a very nice restaurant where you can start with delicious "margaritas", continue with great crab appetizers and then wonderful M-8 shrimp or steam fish , but not every plate in the menu is fantastic , for instance Peking duck is just good and lettuce rolls are very famous but nothing too... read more

Every time we come to visit the city we go to dine here. Yesterday we ate hunan rice, vegetable egg roll, salmon and crean cheese egg roll, hunan shrimp, and the laquered duck. Each of the dishes had a delicious taste and the amount of food was great for 3 people. We also had 3 alcoholic drinks, a tamarind margarita,... More

Both places are great and the food is awesome (rice, pekin duck, bittersweet shrimps). As mentioned the prices are high and the service has declined.

Mexico has plenty of Chinese restaurants with a big contrast.. Only more than two dozen are trustable for eating. The others (hundreds) have a tasty Chinese food. But you don't know what happen behind the seens( kitchen) I know some of them are not so clean and recicle the food. ( not only in Mexico) I saw the same in most all... More

Hunan is one of the most original restaurants in México City, I love the variety of their dishes, most of all the flavor of each and every one of them. Great place

If you want averege Chinese food for an eye popping prive then Hunan is your place. The place is nice and definitely the most pretentious Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. The place itself is once and clean. The service is good, not great, just good. The food is good, but definitely not worth the hefty price tag. I... More

Have you been to China already? If you have, you compare every so called Chinese with the very colorful and very tasty Chinese kitchen you have experienced. This one, to my taste, comes close to what I have experienced there: wonderful spices, excellent choice of plates and first choices in quality of food. Also a very suitable restaurant for business... The number of good reviews led us to Hunan, as we really missed having good Chinese food in DF (having lived in Shanghai for 5 years before). With a name like Hunan - we expected at least some real spicy offerings, but were disappointed with toned-down, "sweetened up" version there - almost no different from the fast food Chinese on... I used to go in Houston to this restaurante, but the one in Mexico is even better. In the Lomas section, a nice upscale zone in Mexico City. Prices are hight but service and quality very good.
