During colonial times la Hacienda de los Morales was located on the outskirts of Mexico City, but today it is within its confines, only a short distance from the exclusive hotels, museums and shops of Polanco. This stately mansion, a recipient of numerous awards including the 5 Diamond and the Dirona Awards, and the Executive Chef Alejandro Heredia Resendiz named Mexican Chef of the 20th Century by the Cullinary Academy of France, transports visitors to another era in a refined atmosphere where the hospitality and service make every moment a memorable one. In addition to the international menu with Mexican specialties, there are several Gastronomic Festivals each year with the participation of such outstanding establishments as I Chiostri di Firenze, Las Ventanas al Paraiso, The Lobster Festival Puerto Nuevo Style, and Il Milanese Curioso. This formal restaurant is open except Easter week and official Holidays. Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie after 6:00 pm.

I have been a great fan of la Hacienda de los Morales sonce I can remember. Maybe the biggest. It used to be one of Mexico City's landmarks and perhaps the best place to eat in town. For years, la Hacienda has hosted people from all around the world (specially from the US) when visitting Mexico City. In fact, I... More

I was actually here in 2011. In a city where street food is outstandingly delicious, this fine dining restaurant takes Mexican cuisine to a stratospheric level. We were here for an official state function, so we received a tour of the estate and the historical background of the various rooms and buildings. There are multiple rooms for dining so one... More

The food and service were good and the ambiance nice, but nothing impressed us enough to justify the inflated prices and hidden costs. Current feature menu is Barcelona-style meals with plates in the 300 to 400 peso range. Regular pasta plates can be had for 150 to 190 pesos. No surprises there. What took us aback was the small glass... More

This hacienda dates back centuries and is a large green space in a now crowded part of the city. This elegant spot is a popular wedding destination. The menu has both local and international favorites.

Great food and ambience. The service is a little slow. Could be because our table was a little removed, but we were a nice sized group (8) prepared to spend so we always expect great service.

Hacienda de los Morales is one of the iconic restaurants in Mexico City, for some the safest bet in town for a great meal in a beautiful setting. The setting indeed is beautiful; lush gardens and a multitude of beautiful dining rooms smack in the middle of one of the most urbanized parts of Mexico City. The value of the... More
