Description: During colonial times la Hacienda de los Morales was located on the outskirts of Mexico City, but today it is within its confines, only a short distance from the exclusive hotels, museums and shops of Polanco. This stately mansion, a recipient of numerous awards including the 5 Diamond and the Dirona Awards, and the Executive Chef Alejandro Heredia Resendiz named Mexican Chef of the 20th Century by the Cullinary Academy of France, transports visitors to another era in a refined atmosphere where the hospitality and service make every moment a memorable one. In addition to the international menu with Mexican specialties, there are several Gastronomic Festivals each year with the participation of such outstanding establishments as I Chiostri di Firenze, Las Ventanas al Paraiso, The Lobster Festival Puerto Nuevo Style, and Il Milanese Curioso. This formal restaurant is open except Easter week and official Holidays. Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie after 6:00 pm.

Beautiful building, great food, great wine... excellent Tequila - especially the "Mexican Flag Tequila Trio"! ;-) The grounds of the hacienda are spectacularly kept... an absolutely beautiful location... I had never eaten escamoles before, so it was a unique (and very delicious!) experience... ;-) If you are in Mexico City I would definitely try it :-)

This restaurant blows your mind first of all with the huge place that it is! The restaurant itself is a huge "farm" where the very rich people lived in the beginning of the 20th century. It has even a private chapel so that they did not have to go outside in those times. Now first of all this is a... More

I know Mexico City has more than one hacienda that has been kept up beautifully and deserves a visit. But this one is really awesome. The different salons are gorgeous and the gardens lovely. The food was excellent although I wouldn't say it was the best meal I'd ever had!. Service rather slow. The thing is, that even tho' the... More

For the uninitiated, the food in Mexico City is surprisingly diverse. I have heard this restaurant described as the best Mexican restaurant in town. Given the diversity in styles of Mexican food found in Mexico City, this may be a stretch, but La Hacienda is certainly a contender for the best upscale Mexican dining in Mexico City. we visited for... Had dinner here with my husband in August. Was slightly apprehensive beforehand as the place seems to get mixed reviews. Things didn’t get off to a great start since the first three taxi drivers that we stopped close to our hotel had no idea where the place was located. Luckily, the fourth one did. The place is just utterly gorgeous.... More

I went to La Hacienda at the recommendation of a co-worker and I was not disappointed. It is set up like a royal courtyard in an upscale neighborhood in the heart of MExico City. There are many rooms and some terrazzos, so the the ambience is wonderful. I had shrimp cream soup for the first time and it was just... More

Price is so so. Mole is very very good! Value is OK, Mexican food at its best and the place itself with so much history is very nice. Same as to what you get in Hacienda San Angel Inn, food here is a little better.

We arrived in mid afternoon, too late for lunch and too early for dinner, but the wait staff at the restaurant were very gracious and seated us anyway, then treated us to an exceptional meal that started with shrimp and caviar, progressed through tenderloin medallions and end with a rich parfait, all washed down with an excellent Mexican wine recommended...
