Description: During colonial times la Hacienda de los Morales was located on the outskirts of Mexico City, but today it is within its confines, only a short distance from the exclusive hotels, museums and shops of Polanco. This stately mansion, a recipient of numerous awards including the 5 Diamond and the Dirona Awards, and the Executive Chef Alejandro Heredia Resendiz named Mexican Chef of the 20th Century by the Cullinary Academy of France, transports visitors to another era in a refined atmosphere where the hospitality and service make every moment a memorable one. In addition to the international menu with Mexican specialties, there are several Gastronomic Festivals each year with the participation of such outstanding establishments as I Chiostri di Firenze, Las Ventanas al Paraiso, The Lobster Festival Puerto Nuevo Style, and Il Milanese Curioso. This formal restaurant is open except Easter week and official Holidays. Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie after 6:00 pm.

Great food and ambience. The service is a little slow. Could be because our table was a little removed, but we were a nice sized group (8) prepared to spend so we always expect great service.

Hacienda de los Morales is one of the iconic restaurants in Mexico City, for some the safest bet in town for a great meal in a beautiful setting. The setting indeed is beautiful; lush gardens and a multitude of beautiful dining rooms smack in the middle of one of the most urbanized parts of Mexico City. The value of the... More

Yes, it is a very beautiful place. We reserved for dinner with Open Table and were seated promptly on a busy evening. Starting with octopus carpaccio and Spanish jabugo ham. The octopus was tough and the sliced ham excellent in flavor and texture and very lean. The sea bass Veracruz and grilled octopus were good, not great. Service, unfortunately was... More

We enjoyed the gorgeous and expansive restaurant. This was our first meal upon arriving in Mexico City (on a Friday night) and were looking forward to a classic upscale experience. Unfortunately our first impression was being confused since there was no one at the entrance and the room where the restaurant is is around the corner and down the hall.... More

No comparison with any other restaurant, the more I visit it the more I like it, try all the regional food, including the Chapulines, awesome food. All the menu is great, beef is so tender, ask for any plate Al Albañil stile. Ask for entree the Chapulines, and a sort of regional food, my recommendation don't leave Mexico without trying... More

I went with a group of colleagues to the Hacienda de los Morales. What an impressive looking restaurant! We had a set menu there comprising of local appetisers followed by a shredded chicken soup and then a chicken dish followd by a great dessert. Overall, food was excellent. The restaurant is an incredibly impressive looking building and from what I... More
