So good

Despite having pictures in the menu and the need for a more extensive sake list this is a really good blue collar Japanese restaurant. The value for money cannot be beaten

If your looking for a non-commercial version of Japanese food, this is the place you want to go to. Their very extensive menu will give you a hard time to decide, but it will be worth it. I recommend the Baby Squid, it's perfectly cooked.Service is not their specialty (be ready to wait for your dish), and the restaurant is... More

Suntory is not the best restaurant. Its good food. But no. This traditional japanese cuisine restaurant really delivers. Every dish is full of flavor and amazingly well served. Service is sometimes slow. But usually because it is packed with people. And on that matter, its packed with japanese people, which is the best indicator or a regional cuisine restaurant. Sushi... I got a recommendation from a friend who travels extensively, he told me it was good but I did not expect it to be that great!!! Consistency in the white rice, sea weed and just about everything else was just perfect. Service was well above expectations and no wait plus it is priced very reasonably. Outstanding place!!! I highly recommend... More

The best sign about this small place located in Colonia Napoles is that it's always full of Japanese people that come here to taste a little bit of home. Nagaoka is not a fancy restaurant but is definitely a little pricey for Mexican standards. However quality is excellent. Please notice that you won't find traditional rolls and the Mexican style... If you want to stay away from sweet/lemony soya sauces and "Mexican style" sushi with chipotle, jalapeño, etc. to enjoy the more traditional Japanese cuisine, this is the place to visit. Vast menu with an excellent and affordable 7-course-exec-menu. Friendly staff, location pretty average.

I'm very enthusiast of Japanese culture all my life and was a regular customer to this japanese restaurant at Mexico City, 'till we retire to Cancun. Now every time I had to travel to DF, I go to the Nagaoka ,and his truly magnificent food, 100% real Japanese food, not fancy, commercial food but truly what you find in Japan.... More

I recommend Nagaoka restaurant because the service, the quality and variety of the Japanese food, the interior decoration, but mainly the way they make you feel there, like home, like being in Japan with best friends. Starting from the entrance, it is just like being in Japan. I have been there with my husband, with family, with friends and always... More

This has traditionally been a great restaurant. Lots of japanese-mexicans come here. However, at the Insurgentes franchise, the second floor trebles whenever the waiters walk. Very very annoying. Plus the service is slooow. Also watch out, my husband got an excelent piece of sushi and I got the part they were supposed to throw out. Very dissapointed. Don't feel like... More

I moved in to Colonia Nápoles in 2003 and thankfully shortly afterwards found Nagaoka. I have been a regular ever since, going about once a week to the Arkansas location. I haven't been to the location further south along Insurgentes. Everything here is amazing, but I especially like the Agedashi, Horenso Gomaae and the Udon soups. For a little taste... More
