Awesome place in downtown Mexico city. Founded in 1912 tacuba is an old house in tacuba street. Mexican cuisine is amazing and all dishes are well made and tasteful. A must if yourenin town. Big plates and always full. Reserve in advance.

Look, Cafe Tacuba is a must. The food is great, the price is very good and you have to go for the ambiance, between the mariachis and the waitresses in an old-fashioned uniform, and the decoration...You have to go there, I have tried everything and I can tell you, the only thing so-so is the dessert.

Great place for a meal. It is obviously a local favourite. When we went all the tables were full but there was no waiting time. The staff were great, the food hot and tasty - what's not to like.

I went in with expectations probably too high. The food, service and prices were good, but not great. Very nice atmosphere, and decor. I would go there again, but not a must-do. The only disappointment was self- inflicted. We ordered a glass of house red wine, without looking at the menu, only to find out later they charge $8 per... More

This place is popular. If going on a weekend, you might want to head out a little early to line up - most especially on a saturday evening. This place is also beautiful. The interior is a combination of beautifully arranged tile work, gorgeous vaulted ceilings, and old-school, life-sized paintings of primarily religious characters and, I dunno, 17th century white... I've heard about this place mostly because I really like the band. Well... let me tell you how amazing my meal was: I ordered panuchos de cochinita and Enchiladas Poblanas. The cochinita had lots of flavor and zing. Pulled pork with adobo and cummin. something like that... super good. However the tortilla had bean smeared over it. I was aiming... More

Tacuba is a fixture of downtown Mexico City. The food and service is attentive but in the classic tradition it is not rushed. It can be very crowded around brunch on the weekends but don't let that deter you - in all the times I have been there I have never had either bad food or neglectful service.
