Nice place

Real authentic Mexican food, everything was delicious, and the waitresses were very attentive to all the tables. Live mariachi music went from area to area and they were real good. Knew how to pay their instruments, and voices were well trained. Overall, I really likes this restaurant and would... read more

Located in the heart of Mexico City, very close to the Zocalo and Palacio Nacional, this place offer very good breakfast, traditional mexican food in a historical building. A must in Mexico City

Beautiful place, I've been there only once, and i was lucky to taste the famous "chiles en nogada", was "granada's" season, (which is one the main ingredients from the list of 70 that are required, to prepare this great dish). If you like sweet flavors, you have to try it, great combination of flavors!!! Accessible prices, and familiar ambience. Definitly,... More

For its outward appearance, you'd never know that inside it was so opulent and amazingly decorated, with such history. We took a table upstairs; this room is full of religious statues set into the walls and windows that open onto the street. It was very pleasant. It took a long time for the waiters to serve us. Our group ordered... More

Our driver Bernardo Valdez recommended that we try Cafe Tacuba while in Mexico City. When you enter the restaurant you're greeted as though you're family and the atmosphere and design are beautiful. The evening we went, there was a mariache style band performing which only added an additional special touch to a wonder day. I ordered the cheese quesidillas which... More

I liked the food but I enjoyed the place more than the taste of what I was served. I have had Mexican food my whole life and it was just average. I would return when family comes to visit but when you talk about tasty food I would take family to some street venues.

To enjoy Mexican food Cafe Tacuba style whilst you are wisiting Mexico City center is a must. Everything you taste there is genuine Mexican cuisine. A suggested menu would be: sopa de fideos, tostada con pollo, buñuelo, preceded of course by tequila and accompanied with a chilled Mexican beer. Buen provecho!

I recently visited Mexico City, just for an afternoon and overnight: I was taking a group of co workers to Taxco next morning. They had never visited Mexico City, so after the tour bus which took us on the downtown, Chapultepec visits, I wanted to top off the day with an authentic Mexican dinner. By this time it was already... More
