This is the second time I have been here--this time last year with my husband and now with my teenage daughter. The setting is terrific. The stained glass and murals. The staff all wear lacy white uniforms and take pride in the meals they provide. The host is so welcoming and pardons poor Spanish... read more

This used to be a good spot in Mexico City, the building is beautiful and very local, however the food was subpar. We tried several dishes and they were either bland or extremely salty(enchiladas pachuqueñas, the pan dulce (sweet bread) is still very good. Service was mediocre.

We loved the interior and the food was great. Nice place for a quick bite to eat midday. I would make sure to stop here, if you are closeby.

Upon my second visit to this charming cafe the male waiter did not bring me the coffee in the ordered manner (I explicitly requested a cappaccino forte) and also did not bring me my change whilst I waited at the reception area; he must have noticed me after some minutes but did not bother to return the change...for such a... Take some time ti visit this very acient retaurant/ Cafe in colonial Mexico. Recntly remodeled but with respect to history and tradition. This place has a very unusual buzz to it. Grat Mexican dshes and bread and their famous Chocolate that goes so well with a Mexican Concha. I would have rated this place as Excllent, but service was sloppy... More

If you happen to be around the Centro Historico area make sure you make a stop in at the Café Tacuba, we went there for lunch. Here I enjoyed some tasty tamales, chiles rellenos and enchiladas. If your lucky like we were we got to hear some live music just starting up.

The place is beautiful, pretty old mexico style but totally well kept, the food it's good don't miss the "lechero coffe" it a type of latte but the taste it's pretty good, their home made fresh baked sweet bread (Conchas) are the best

There appears to be some mixed views about this one. I was told by a reliable source, the former boyfriend of the daughter of the owner, that this was a former Chinese restaurant. No sign of the eastern connection in this Mexican restaurant which seems to have been here forever. One with think it of former convent from pre-Hispanic times.... More

We love to take people to this traditional Mexican restaurant for the beautiful building and traditional atmosphere. On Saturdays there is always a Mariachi band playing, the servers are wonderfully attentive and professional and there is a general fun atmosphere in this family friend restaurant. The food is classic Mexican with nothing that specifically stands out, but generally good.

We loved the room and the waiting staff but my fish was cooked until it was crisp. Really disappointing. Come for the experience but not a good dining experience in Mexico. Sorry was looking forward to writing better review.
