The food was excellent and the Mexican band played beautifully. A very nice restaurant if you want a taste of Mexican food

Some people come here for this very reason, Mexico City is full of old fashioned cafe's and bars. The decor is appealing by any standards but that is one of the only advantages. A great cafe has fast WiFi, and outlets and strong coffee, it should also be casual enough to do some light reading or even work on your... More

We were an international family of 8 and had the luck of getting Oscar as our waiter that night, he made the ed of our trip trough Mexico have the best end possible. Thank you again for all the patience and help figuring out the menu and for the amazing service you helped provide that night. Don't forget to drink... More

We tried several of the other higher rated restaurants in the area. Cafe Tacuba was by far the best. Great service, atmosphere, and food. One member of our foresome is kinda particular about their food. They raved about their food as did the rest of us. Should be much higher ranked than it is.

Cafe Tacuba is an icon on the restaurant scene in Mexico City and has been around a hundred years or so. Its located in the historic center of Mexico City and would be a good place to eat after a tiring day of exploring this wonderful city on foot. The walls are covered with mural paintings and popular culture art... More

I love the formality of this dear old bar in the heart of Mexico City. What a time in Mexico's history this place represents! Watering hole of Pancho Villa and Emiliano Zapata. Look for bullet holes dating back to the revolution.

This cafe seems to be an icon from past glories, and somewhat it makes honour to that, however the service and the coffee needs to improve gravely! The building is a gem, an old house that is greatly decorated and transports you back to the 18th century. The food, although a bit overpriced, is good, gives you the opportunity to... More

As a former waiter, I am extremely patient (to a fault) when it comes to service faux pas I experience when eating out, but my experience a week ago deserves my ire, so here it goes: Cafe Tacuba is a meticulously preserved architectural gem, but that's where the restaurant's charm ends. We were subjected to rushed service which made us... More

The best is its history and architecture of the place. Since 1912. The food is good, traditional, not espectacular but delicious, mexican type, not cheap, not expensive. Highly recommended for the whole family to enjoy a meal in a historic place of México City. For tourist and locals.

This place used to be an icon, and it's housed in a beautiful building, but locals are abandoning it in droves. The food is by far not as good as it used to be and it is grossly overpriced. Last time I went there we ended up payibg over fifty dollars each for a very simple dinner of enchiladas or... More
