Perdio. Just go early, make the line, and have huevos rancheros and all the pastries you can have. DO NOT forget the coffee.

I love the restaurant deco. From outside you will not know how big the restaurant is. So do take a look at the second floor if you are sitting at the 1st floor. We order daily special set menu for 5courses plus tea/coffee is around 240peso pp. We were very stuffed at the end. I like the tortilla soup a... More

We loved our food here. It was so good we went twice in our five days in MX City. I always had the mole/pollo. My husband had Tacuba Special....it was amazing. The second time he had a '4' combo plate....sorry forgot the name. It was also amazing. Loved the building, the staff were super. The second time we went was... More

I ate at Cafe Tacuba on business in July 2014, and was hosted by a local who has been coming here since his childhood. This is indeed a historic restaurant in the old centre of Mexico City, with an expansive traditional menu and colonial decor (as well as waitresses dressed in classic outfits). The murals at the back end of... More

Just settled in to our hotel back from a rather charming meal at Cafe Tacuba. Local clientele and tourists, but perhaps more locals, which is always a good sign. We started out splitting a quesadilla that was delicious and filled with cheese (certainly they did not skimp). Our group had three of the same entrees which consisted of three different... More

We ate there because it was not far from the zocalo and recommended in a traveler guide. We liked the decor inside, very typical. The staff was nice, and we enjoyed our meal. I tried the Mole poblano, and my husband the barbecued pork, both were good

This is a must for any visitor to Ciudad de México. Located centrally, the incredible interior looks like a tourist attraction, but it is full of Mexicans at all hours and serves incredible food and drinks (the margarita with jamaica is to be recommended) with live music and very decent prices. On a par with El Cardenal.

It is a traditional place where you can taste mexican food from many regions, and I've tasted several of their options and all of them are truly remarkable. It is not as pricy as other places, the services is always good, and during dinner time you will find a group of "rondalla" playing some romantic music. My recommendations would be... More

The place its an historic site, and its beautiful preserved. Its a litle bit dark in here, but its part of the experience of being on this building. The service was average, but enjoyed my view. We ordered: a tortilla soup, enchiladas jarochas and a botana mexicana, which was very assorted. I think its a little expensive, considering you can eat the same... More
