Nice but crowded outside

This restaurant is part of the 1850 complex hotel. Getting Getting a table outside is hard so be prepared to wait. Kitchen closes at 11 pm and bar at 12. Staff is courteous and very well trained. I pads take care of ordering. Good ambiance in jardín de la unión. The main square in the city.

This restaurant is incredible. Service food and great ambience with live piano music. One of the best I had visited. Do not miss it!

I stayed at Hotel Boutique 1850 which is next door to Casa Valadez. Our stay included breakfast here and I really enjoyed it. Everything was delicious. I recommend enchiladas campesinas with hot cup of coffee. I was well taken care of.

I stayed at the 1850 Hotel next door. Breakfast for guests there is provided by the Casa Valdez. Portions were large, but the quality of the food was so-so at best. They seem to work on the principle that more is better, rather than better is better. Service was consistently perfunctory, dour and inattentive. Perhaps the only restaurant I've eat... More

As others have mentioned the service is odd as guys in suits and iPads walk around and then waiters are walking around. Confusing. The few little plates we had for lunch one day were ok not great. My husband wanted to try the steak they claim is so good. His steak was ok but everything else was awful and cold.... More

I tried this location to have a nice dinner out with my daughters. It was right on the Jardin looking over the Teatro. Great location, and waiters do try their best. Had one great filet steak, one very tough overcooked ribeye, and a delicious cordon blue. It seemed the less expensive dishes were the best. Wine selection was great. Piano... More

I really like this place but is a shame there's no brunch after 12PM. If the night before you went parting and woke up late, better suppress your need for orange juice and eggs 'cause you will find no here but waiters bad attitude few

Location is great but that's about all. After two breakfasts, I was about to write a largely positive review. But after a dreadful lunch decided to go negative. The "comida" sounded great but was uniformly bland and served stone cold - all the courses. And the "Steak Salmon" was a salmon burger. Service is a mystery: you never have a... More

I can hardly even recall what the food was like at Casa Valadez. Why not? Because they ripped my party of 6 off, BIG TIME, on the "House wine". BE WARNED: They have FIVE "house wines" - and they may or may not tell you about that. We asked for house wine, and we each had 3 or 4. Come... More

Apps were nice, but went downhill from there! A bit pricey.... Compared to others in town. Take a taxi and don't try parking in the area. Very hard to find.
