Awesome place

This restaurant is run by a very sweet, welcoming family. I ate there several times during my vacation and the food was great every time.

You wouldn't think that at this place a you will find a great food by how it look. Decoration is simple, more like a dinner than a restaurant. The menu was very propositive, well presented and tasty dishes. A plus is that the owner is the one caring that every detail is taking care off. Something we need to thank... More

We were staying at a hotel nearby and visited the Bistro de la Presa with friends we were travelling with. The food was sensational and the welcome from the owner and staff was excellent. We enjoyed the food that much that we went back again on our second night.

We had read the menu for the Bistro on a walk to the reservoir and were intrigued by the varied seafood offerings so decided to try it one night. The owners were delightful and made us feel very comfortable. The menu was interesting in that it was on a continuous loop on a flat screen TV, but it actually helped... More

We had noticed the excellent reviews on tripadvisor and gave it a try on Tuesday evening. Good thing that the six of us were there as we had the place to ourselves. Must be a usual quiet night of the week as our conversation with the owners revealed they have been in business at that location for 17 years. The... More

Walking around the city , found this amazing restaurant. this place its served by the owners, who are really nice Mexican people. they gave us a really nice welcoming. Although the service was great, the food blow my mind. We had an exotic tuna fish starter and some pinchos . Dont remember the names of the other dishes we ate,... More

We had walked all the way up to the Governor's Mansion and the Reservior and decided stop in for a beer before going back down. It was early evening on a Monday, and we were the only ones in the place. The server was great, and spoke english very well, while we struggled with our spanish. The local beers were... More

Our group was surprised to find that they restaurant only serves beer and wine, no hard liquor, and furthermore, at that particular moment, they had no white wine to offer. While the menu appeared to offer an adequate selection of traditional Mexican dishes, there was nothing that appeared so compelling as to overcome the attraction of a restaurant across the... More

On the strength of other reviews, we came here to try the GTO brewed beer (great microbrew). The food was so good, we came back again, and then again... Service is friendly and professional. The atmosphere is very calm, with jazz playing softly in the background. The casual menu has a selection of very filling sandwiches (served with salad and... More

The long trip to Guanajuato is more than compensated for by the excellent food and service this family-owned business offers. Based off the owner's favorite recipes from interior Mexico, this restaurant is definitely worth going to. The only menu is in Spanish, but your waiter will gladly translate for you. The food is excellent, and comes at a fair price... More
