We ate lunch here as the reviews were great for this restaurant. The nachos were made with canned pore on cheese! Pazole was average and the waiter was wearing a mouth guard which kind off put us off. Large menu good location behind park Jauraz.

Place looks nice, well-located, and my Mexican salad was not bad, but my son ordered nachos. They arrived as a large stack of tacos topped with a very liquidy, bright yellow sauce that they referred to as cheese. Somehow they seem to have found something grosser than velveeta! And then a couple of chopped tomatoes. That's it. Could have gotten... More

We were a little taken aback to be the only ones dining here, but we're glad we took a chance and stayed. Very nice on all accounts!

I really don't know why people rank this place higher. Maybe we were just unlucky, but I really cannot say anything special about this place. Food was just okay.

We had the daily special and were very disappointed. Instead of a beef steak, it seemed we got the odds and end pieces left over in the kitchen. The rice was also bland. Perhaps the regular menu is better. There are so many better places to eat in Guanajuato that I would just skip this.

Right near the jardin is Ophelia's, a great place for breakfast and Mexican food. They serve a Sopa Azteca that is one of the best in Mexico. It is a meal in itself and at 60 pesos its a steal. They offer many choices for breakfast, almost anything you would like. The ambiance is very nice with all sorts of... More

I don't really understand the positive reviews about this restaurant. Our meal was OK. Certainly not a place we would return to.

I came here twice for enmolades on my recent visit. Service was decent, the space comfortable and the enmolades were delicious. A place that the locals frequent. Prices are reasonable. I ordered a margarita on the second visit which was a mistake. Very salty.

We stayed at Posada Santa Fe Hotel on the Jardin so finding a restaurant is easy near here. There are several out the front door (including the hotel) with atmosphere, charm, mariachis and lively waiters. But if you walk out the BACK DOOR of the hotel and turn left down a narrow street there are several small intimate restaurants. One... More

2 years ago we discovered Casa Ofelia while in Guanajuato for the month. Service was great, great chile rellenos, enchiladas suizas, milanesa de res. back for a month and first night here we headed back for a delicious meal. Not disappointed. Ample portions of very tasty food. Yummy beer, and the appetizer they provide--peeled cucumber with lime and chile is... More
