I came here twice for enmolades on my recent visit. Service was decent, the space comfortable and the enmolades were delicious. A place that the locals frequent. Prices are reasonable. I ordered a margarita on the second visit which was a mistake. Very salty.

We stayed at Posada Santa Fe Hotel on the Jardin so finding a restaurant is easy near here. There are several out the front door (including the hotel) with atmosphere, charm, mariachis and lively waiters. But if you walk out the BACK DOOR of the hotel and turn left down a narrow street there are several small intimate restaurants. One... More

2 years ago we discovered Casa Ofelia while in Guanajuato for the month. Service was great, great chile rellenos, enchiladas suizas, milanesa de res. back for a month and first night here we headed back for a delicious meal. Not disappointed. Ample portions of very tasty food. Yummy beer, and the appetizer they provide--peeled cucumber with lime and chile is... More

Day of the Dead decor, but big, scrumptious plates of food. Had breakfast there with about nine people- sampled everything from chilequiles to Huevos Azteca to yogurt and fruit. All excellent, very well priced. You can't miss with this little gem.

For great ambiance, great food, good wine, and a very friendly staff, this is the place to go. The menu covers all the traditional Mexican dishes, and the ones we tried were excellently prepared and presented. While the food is worth going for, the friendly atmosphere is what made the place. The waiters were not only friendly, but were also... More

Ofelia's interior is all the bright colors of Mexico. Carved and brightly painted chairs and artisanal folk art on the walls. Perfect for breakfast - best fresh squeezed orange juice.

Near the Jardin and Basilica. Went there for dinner, good size restaurant with all the various Mexican motifs and decor, but done well. Good menu as well as prices. Food was very good, and was impressed served with comp chips and salsa (picante!). Staff attentive and strong wifi, what more can you ask for!

We had a breakfast combo which was delicious; chilaquiles, fresh fruit with chili powder, coffee and juice. Excellent prices, nothing fancy, very nice place. Go early in the morning to have the first batch of chilaquiles and the whole place to yourself.

I loved how this restaurant was decorated. The service was great and the food was very good. I ordered carne asada, forgetting that I don't care much for beef in Mexico and the meat reminded me why. It's tough and stringy. By all means go there but order something else!

Our innkeeper recommended that we try this place, and boy were we glad we did! The food was absolutely fantastic, and the service was excellent!! We had fish with cilantro sauce and chicken sopes, and both were delicious! The portions are huge, and packed with flavor! It was not busy when we came for dinner, but don't let the empty... More
