Great coffee and convenient wifi in a funky bohemian atmosphere. We learned a lot about coffee roasting one afternoon chatting with the owner, an ex-pat American french horn player. Every trip we make to Gto we bring back Cafe Tal's Veracruz-grown coffee beans as gifts for family and friends.

The staff are very nice but a little slow to serve and I'm sorry but I couldn't finish the coffee, way too bitter and burnt.

I was a tad disappointed as I had heard good things about this cafe, then I walked in and was like "is this it?". My green aloe tea was a bit weak and I found the cafe area very small and didn't enjoy the atmosphere as much as I had hoped. Nice service though.

The coffee here is fantastic, as is the ambiance in the little spot not too far from the Jardin de la Union. On a Sunday morning while the city slept, we had coffee and a fruit and a pastry here. Very peaceful. Highly recommend.

It is amazing for what surprise you are in when you enter this nondescript "Hole in the Wall". Arguably the best coffee in town, friendly service (absolutely fluent in English if that matters to you) and you can meet artistst, musicians, writers, gringos and non-gringos there...and even me.... The owner Greg, an accomplished classical French Horn player, personally selects his... More

Fun spot in one of the many alleys in Guanajuato. Great Coffee and Cappucino and Lattes. They also serve pastries and deserts that were all very good. Nice place to meet people and hang out. They also sell coffee either beans or ground and it is very good.

first time we went we sat for an hour and our coffee never came; we left. The near decrepit, quirky rooms on 2 levels and 2 sides of the lane have a certain character charm which I really like but the table service LOL.I went back again and ordered straight from the barista and had my mocha chino delivered to... When I really want to relax and enjoy a great cup of coffee or cappucino this is usually where I imagine being.

The cafe latte was delicious and, sometimes (sadly, not always) served with beautiful, artistic presentation. The prices were a little higher than I would have liked. But good coffee is a very important priority, so we enjoyed stopping by several times while in Guanajuato. We were happy that we had a chance to meet Tal (the cat) while there.

I'd try the choco-cortado coffee (I'm not quite sure about the name of the beverage but was something like that) it was a perfect combination between a good dark Mexican chocolate and a good espresso. I really enjoy it if you like the real coffee you should try the Cafe Tal.
