Go for the coffee, Black Kiss and Croissants

Cafe Tal is a small cafe set over a couple of levels, it had amazing coffee and good croissants and bagels. Try the Beso Negro (Black Kiss) - a delicious and rich hot chocolate but in just the right portion size so as to not feel sick. We were sad we weren't in Guanajuato long enough to visit for... read more

The coffee was exceptionally good for Mexican standards but it's not really nice place to sit as it looks really old and a bit dirty. A price I'm willing to pay go get a good expresso (macchiato) since it's realy hard to get a good coffee in Mexico.

Cafe Tal is charming and serves great coffee. We stop by often, and have taken bags of coffee home for our enjoyment there. Make sure to stop by!

I stayed with good coffee, there was free refill service and free wifi. No reason to leave quickly. Just sit on the chair and drink coffee, it's the happiness!

This is your place with great coffee drinks while lazing away the time using their Free wi-fi. Its a Guanajuato landmark and a must try for everyone. Yo will certainly return again and again. Do miss trying their chocotardo which is half chocolate and half espresso. Just drink it right away as the chocolate seems to cool the coffee down.... More

The best coffee and cappuccino in Guanajuato, period! When we go back, the first thing we'll do is get our caffeine here.

Nice coffee shop, ideal for a small group of friends or a couple, the flavor was nice. If they added some coffee extraction methods, they will add some class to their cafeteria.

Had a pretty nice cup of coffee here. The place is really nice and cozy for lingering over your drink or for reading/studying/working on your laptop. The folks working here were pretty nice and friendly too.

Best place in town to get online, hang out and study Spanish. The cafe was quiet at times and often lively in the evenings, filled with local university students hunched around tables playing games with occasional roars of laughter. Loved the vibe there. And they have a great selection of unique teas!

The smell of roasting coffee helps you locate this off-the-beaten-path cafe which is definitely worth the difficulty in finding it. Once you find it, you feels as if you have stumbled into a time-warp, where the corporate slickness of the 21st century would not have a chance. In other words, the emphasis is on the coffee, not the chairs that... More
