It was an okay place. Had a green mango tea and fruit plate both which were excellent. But the location was far from the center and not really comfortable. Very small sitting area. Tal the cat did make an appearance however. Was looking for baked goods, none to be had.

Café Tal was one of those pleasant surprises for me when I was in search of a place to unwind with cup of coffee. My daughter, who isn't a coffee drinker, would order their warm chocolate drink. We'd stop by every morning for coffee and chocolate and, soon I was ordering a chocolate along with my coffee. What a beautiful... More

We looked forward to stopping in for a café con leche the morning before school at Escuela Mexicana. The best!

When I crave a real escape from the fast pace of life and work, I want to go to GTO. Specifically, I want a cup of coffee or a besos negro in the window of Cafe Tal. This is one of my ideal places to really unwind and enjoy great drink in a perfect environment.

Amazing little café with a few tables with internet access very quant and charming. We met the owner of the café a young man who was very knowledgeable about coffee. What a relief to have a good coffee after weeks of bad coffee in America. Highly recommended from a coffee snob.

Cafe tal is a very small but charming cafe around a little corner. They offer really good quality cafe and breakfast. The cappuccino and croissant I ordered are really nice. Simon is very friendly and helpful. However, the old lady looks very serious and not happy to welcome customers. In general, I like the place very much. Very peaceful and... More

We adored this slightly hidden away gem. The Mexican chocolate espresso was incredible. Very cool vibe in this independent coffee house.

Cafe Tal is what Mexico coffee is all about. The quality and the flavor of the coffee is the best because the owner sees to it personally. If you do Mexico very often you know that the scruffy little hole in the wall establishments will offer the best surprises! Cafe Tal is inhabited by locals, plus students, expats, snowbirds for... I went here 3 times in my 4 day stay. Coffee, hot cocoa, and frappacino were excellent. Clearly high quality coffee beans, and cocoa. You can order different grades of hot chocolate, kind of like espresso shots, light, and dark coffee but in cocoa. The mocha frap was great because it tasted like dark chocolate. Sort of dark chocolate equivalent... More
