Oldie and a still a goodie

After twenty years or more, this fine restaurant in the Chapultepec district retains its ambiance and attention to service. The main dining room to the right of the entrance is airy and spacious, with enough room for families and groups of friends. But the best tables (with more privacy) are the... read more

Well, what can I say about this really great place? The food was really good if a bit pricey--but it was worth every peso! The service was excellent and the menu was filled with interesting dishes. I wanted to try several so I shared little bits from my friends' plates and they shared some of mine. I would definitely return... More

While our waiter's English was marginal, he anticipated our needs in great fashion. The food was delicious and more than enough so he wrapped it to take out. The drinks were as good as the food. The cheese soup was especially good.

A very nice, sophisticated ( but not snobby nor stuffy!) place to have lunch or dinner. The food is very well presented, and delicious! The piano music adds a relaxed touch and you can actually talk without having to shout- another added plus- no TVs!! The entrees are big enough for 2 people. One of our favorite places to eat... I had dinner once at El Sacromonte. Service and decoration were alright and the recipes were interesting, but I was not amazed by the taste of dishes in general, and don't think it's worth the price. I won't come back.

We (a group of five) had a great meal at El Sacromonte. We shared three appetizers, a soup, each had an entree, and shared two desserts -- so we ate a good share of the menu and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The service was excellent and the server attentive and funny. El Sacromonte offers a variety of meat, fowl, and... More

This charming and traditionally decorated restaurant is a treat. I enjoyed dinner here as part of a group attending a workshop in Guadalajara. This establishment was chosen as it provides an opportunity for visitors to the city to try out inspired local Mexican cuisine. To start I can recommend the 'Las quesadillas se las Cibeas' (cornmeal dough parcels stuffed with... More

We were excited about going to this place. Even the AMEX concierge recommended it. Well, food was so-so, service was so-so. If it wasn't for two great old friends that made the evening fun...it would have been a total disappointment. My friends had some signature ice cream dessert and said that was the best part of the evening. The filet... More

We visited the restaurant by recommendation, the food was delightful, service was OK. The downsides, well, it's kind of expensive and the furniture is a little bit old

A friend of ours took us to this restaurant for lunch recently, promising us a unique dining experience. We were definitely not disappointed and can't wait to introduce some of our other friends to this gem of a restaurant. My wife had the roquefort and chipotle soup, which she generously shared a taste with me. It was divine. I had... More
