Excellent food and service. Central location in a safe area. The food is amazing. Staff very professional and accomodating. One of thebest salsas at Guadalajara. The complementary soup shot is awsome. Good prices. Quality and well seassoned food. I strongly suggest a visit.

We went with a recommendation from a friend. We stared with a Mandarin based tequila mixes drink. Very citrusy and good. Then we got a bottle of wine from Valle deGuadalupe. It was ok. We had 2 starters. Nothing memorable. We had 2 entrees. One a with green mole and pork (?). It was over cooked and dry. I had... More

We chose La Tequila @ Gourmeteria to celebrate my wife's birthday with a group of friends. Carlos, the manager, made sure we had a fun time with good service and good food. They offer a unique variety of Mezcal from Southern Mexico and some dishes prepared with uncommon ingredients like mezcal worms, "escamoles" (ant eggs), etc. We tried the ant... More

From the time you walk in, seeing the glass wall of tequila bottles until you cross over the glass ceiling of the wine cellar, and then throughout the meal, you feel a great ambiance. The waiters are very attentive. The homemade tortilla chips are spectacular. I also loved the guacamole and the black bean dip. I wasn't so fond, however,... More

I was there on a business trip, and my colleagues in Guadalajara took me to this place. It was a charming setup - clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and eager. My colleagues took care of the translation into English. The food was fresh and tasty. The drinks were great - especially the smooth tequila at the end of... More

Had dinner there last night. Food is not amazing. Appetizers arrived after food did. Drinks good. Food not very good...have no idea why so many good reviews. So many better places to go.

My girlfriend and I went here for a birthday dinner based on its TA rating and were very disappointed in both the quality of the food and the service received. First, the food--the shaved tuna appetizer was brown and a bit fishy, perhaps from age? The stuffed plaintains were a bit heavy but passable, mole was a bit too sweet... More

Dear Ryan, Thank you for taking the time to review us on Trip Advisor. I regret that your experience at La Tequila was not positive, and I want to reassure you we take our customers' feedback very seriously. We do serve worms; they're edible, they're properly cooked, and yes, they're an expensive delicacy in Mexico. It was wrong for the... More

I ended up going to La Tequila 2x when last in GDL, once for business and once for pleasure. Both were worth the trip. The service for the business meal (8 people) was WAY better than the private dinner for 2 a few nights later. The food is very predictably good and somewhat interesting. I also recommended to business colleagues... More
