Great Japanese Cuisine, with good sushi items.

Suehiro is an institution in guadalajara, it shows its age, but is always in the conversation as one of the top 3 japanese restaurants in GDL. This time our itamae told us, they have a japanese chef, so we tried our luck with items as the chawanmushi, we´re glad we did, everything was... read more

A stunningly beautiful restaurant in the heart of Guadalajara. Our dining room overlooked a lovely Japanese garden, complete with a waterfall and koi pound. The menu is extensive and not cheap. Dishes were well executed, and the fish dishes incredibly fresh. Some dishes are hard to figure out from the menu, and some seem overly expensive compared to others. That's... More

This restaurant would rate 5 stars anywhere in the world. But what a pleasant surprise to to find it in Guadalajara. The service was top notch as all the staff worked together to attend your needs during the dinner. We started with tuna sashimi and teka maki sushi. The tuna was fresh and tasty. For the main course we had... More

It was a very pleasant visit and all the friends enjoyed it too. We had a table for eight with a hot plate. The meal was prepared in front of us. In general we had a Tepenyaki table. There was a choice of various meat and seafood alternatives, lots of accompanying veggies. This restaurant is the most authentic in Guadalajara... More

A friend and I visited this restaurant last March and both our meals were mediocre. I revisited hesitantly again with a group of six others and we all very much enjoyed it. We sat at one of the grilling tables and even though the knife throwing was not as exciting as how some Japanese chefs in the USA do it,... More

You can always count on Suehiro's to be delicious and the seafood is always fresh. Today I tried the 98 soup, which I loved, rainbow sushi, and finished with carrot cake and coffee. Be advised though that the restaurant is always full, the tables are close together, and it is LOUD. This is NOT the place to go for a... More

Excellent Japanese food Still one of the best restaurants in Guadalajara . The nigiris and sushimis are very fresh and tasty. If you order tepanyaki we could recommend the rib eye and the langostas. Yes, it's expensive ! But it's worthwhile .

I visited the restaurant in January 2015. It is more than 30 years old and need a total modernization. I was told it is the best Japanese in town. It is designed as an old huge dining room, with no privacy at all. Everyone sees everyone. Old wooden furniture totally inadequate for a Japanese restaurant and the atmosphere is more... More

No surprises, Suehiro is your best bet for Japanese food in Guadalajara. Go there for a nice evening and try their suggested menu for the night. Or simply enjoy their traditional Teppanyaki. Good array of sake and great sushi. Enjoy!

I have heard about this place several times. and also I have searched for nice sushi place because to get good sushi in mexico is almost impossible. Every single local people said "It is expensive but worth to visit" So I visited this place with some friends. The service and atmosphere were so nice. I had taco(taco wasabi) and some... More
