Old design mediocre food

I visited the restaurant in January 2015. It is more than 30 years old and need a total modernization. I was told it is the best Japanese in town. It is designed as an old huge dining room, with no privacy at all. Everyone sees everyone. Old wooden furniture totally inadequate for a Japanese... read more

No surprises, Suehiro is your best bet for Japanese food in Guadalajara. Go there for a nice evening and try their suggested menu for the night. Or simply enjoy their traditional Teppanyaki. Good array of sake and great sushi. Enjoy!

I have heard about this place several times. and also I have searched for nice sushi place because to get good sushi in mexico is almost impossible. Every single local people said "It is expensive but worth to visit" So I visited this place with some friends. The service and atmosphere were so nice. I had taco(taco wasabi) and some... More

My in laws had talked a lot about this place and told me it had been there for ages (the place does look like it has many years running) but regardless is very clean! The service was outstanding! The teppanyaki was ok. I actually enjoyed more the sashimi and the sushi and they offer a lot of choices and options... More

I heard so many good things about this restaurant and was looking forward to dining at Suehiro, so my friend and I were quite disappointed this evening with our soggy vegetables. However, both her shrimp and my fish were good. The dessert and coffee saved the meal from being a disaster. There is, as others stated, a lovely garden which... More

It was a great experience to have a B 'day dinner with family, our food was cooked in front of us, and our cook was an experienced one, that also gave us a small show with its cooking tools.

Suehiro is an excellent Japanese restaurant with some of the rooms overlooking a peaceful Japanese Garden. There is a good pianist in the bar. ....even at lunchtime. The sashimi presentation is lovely. There is also a choice of sushi, teppanyaki, tempuras, hibachi, and a variety of appetizers. The service is very professional, yet friendly. The fish is fresh. It is... More

Very nice Japanese restaurant. I have been coming here since 1981. Uniformly excellent. Friendly staff and chefs, very fresh fish, well prepared hibachi

This restaurant offers very good food selection, including the typical sushi, teppanyaki and other specialty plates, including a broad selection of appetizers. Patrons are mostly locals. During the weekends there are mostly families and in the evening it is less noisy. The quality has remained stable though out the years. Need to get a taxi to and from since it... More

We ate at Suehiro on Sunday. It was fabulous. We had edamame to start, then cilantro rolls and tuna and salmon sashimi. My friend and I agreed that it was easily as good as any sushi we had eaten before and the presentation was amazing. The service was excellent. We ate in the bar overlooking the lovely Japanese garden. We... More
