My hotel highly recommended this restaurant - and I was not disappointed. The owner is very sociable and takes pride in his restaurant. The wait staff was attentive. The restaurant is beautiful with lots of little rooms. As I was dining alone, I chose to sit towards the back of the restaurant in the main entry area. I could see... More

Well Tripadvisor is something great - you need a good restaurant and you just click here ... and so I made it to La Fonda de la Noche If you walk to this place you'll feel not sure that you are going to the right place. The neighborhood is like each and every other outside of the touristic area -... More

The place is excellent, the food and service very good. Went on a TA recommendation and was amazed that this little treasure had escaped my discovery until now, for it is exactly the type of charming, out of the way authentic restaurant that we adore. Whether visiting or a Tapatio, get in for a meal. A real find for those... More

Expect to wait for your meal because everything is made fresh to order. There is no menu; but, the chef accommodates each customer's wishes, and vegetarian options are available. It is best to let the chef create a sampler platter for you. Everything....the sauces, the toppings, the tortillas...are fresh, delicious, and made with care. The restaurant, itself, is unique, and... More

La Fonda has become my favorite restaurant. Every time I come to Guadalajara is a must to visit la Fonda more than once. I am a vegetarian and it gets difficult to get some nice Mexican food that will have no meat, but here I have had delicious sopes and medias lunas that are vegetarian. Also I have taken my... More

We dined there early on a Saturday night. The Chiles en Nogada are the best we've had anywhere. The fried cheese was every bit as good as others have reported. The other dish was a beef stew type of dish. It was nothing special. There appeared to be mostly tourists in the restaurant. I suspect they are living on their... More

The restaurant is situated in a three storey house. You can even walk up a narrow staircase to the roof top and see some lovely views at night. The décor is bright and colourful and very different (in an appealing way). There was no wine list but we enjoyed some local beers instead. The food was simple but really good.... More

great quirky little place. Ultimate comfort and relaxation! Almost wished it was a bnb by the time I finished my meal. Spoken menu, kind of difficult but that's what made it different!
