Tacos providencia have all the right ingredients for a tourist experience. They are clean and a bit overpriced. Other than that, I hate the fact that you have to wait in line for a table (its not really worth the wait) and their service isnt always the best. tacos are good and if you are lucky enought to get there... I enjoy coming here EVERY year! Those tacos are little pieces of heaven! It is usually quite crowded but it is definitely worth the wait! The restaurant has a welcoming air. I definitely recommend trying out this restaurant! There will be plenty delicious Mexican tacos to go around!

Extremely delicious food; just be sure you know what you are ordering. My two favorite restaurants in Guadalajara are not listed, but this is my third. I didn't try a great variety of restaurants in this city. This used to be the French capital of Mexico, so there is a lot of French influence here. Mexico goes all out on... More

For the most authentic, unique and tasteful taco experience you can imagine, you must visit Tacos Providencia. While very simple in appearance, the large restaurant was sparkling clean, all the staff were in white uniforms and there is an open prep/serving area where you can walk up to see the ingredients and order, or have one of the many waiters... Taco's here are FRESH and favorful. I ordered the Carnitas, Asado and Quesidella. The taco are small so order at least two. There are condiments on the table, I had a taste of the guacamole sauce, it was light and tasty. Go with someone who can translate the menu or you might end up eating something like cheek, lips, or... More

My first visit to Tacos Providencia, went with some of the Guadalajara co-workers for Dinner. The tacos are very small compared to the American version of tacos, but there are many variations on the menu. Everything from the standard Beef and pork tacos, but also Tongue, cheek, and lip tacos. Go with someone who can read the Mexican menu, or... More

Mind you, Ive had better tacos in the States from taco trucks, but if you're looking for good tacos in a clean sit-down environment, this place is perfect. Although noisy and always busy, your food gets delivered quickly. I found their lengua tacos to be very good although the meat was served as a slice of tongue, rather than chopped.... More

This place has a formula... quick, easy dining of basic taco style dishes in a big, noisy room. These are tacos in Jalisco style... more like tapas than anything most gringos are familiar with. Grilled and fresh and usually good, and the place is usually crowded. A local classic, but not a romantic dining spot.

After a one-hour queue, we finally tasted the “famous” Tacos Providencia. Definitely an overrated place. The tacos are fine, but I prefer “Tacos Don Miguelon” that are just two blocks away in Avenida Terranova.
